Thanks for pointing this out. I did some more research and you are correct. I apologize for my error.
It’s OK — many people have believed the media (and Crockett) when she and her supporters use redistricting to explain why she bailed on the House.
Her ego demanded that she seek higher office, and pretending that Republicans had taken away her “rightful” seat in the House helps motivate the hate-filled racists who comprise her core voting bloc.
They got Allred to drop out of the Senate race (he’ll be back in the House in ‘27) to make it a 2-way primary race.
Obviously the radical nutbucket wing of the Democrat party is in Crockett’s corner, while Talarico is supported by the supposedly moderate wing of the party (given what passes for “moderate” among Democrats these days).
Talarico is *probably* just the shiny, new version of Beto O’Rourke. Beto got 48% of the vote when he first ran statewide in a heavily anti-Republican year (2018), but he still lost despite raising nearly 2x the funds which Ted Cruz did that year.
The 2026 Texas Senate race (and the 2026 midterms as a whole) will likely look similar to 2018. Depending on who emerges from the GOP runoff in the TX Senate primary, it could be REALLY close in November.
Unless Crockett somehow prevails on the D side, in which case we can breathe a little easier.

You must understand the subtleness of FR’s Surrender Monkey caucus. They never take a day off and their life revolves around constant efforts to tamp down Republican enthusiasm.
So here’s a reminder for those who want to hide under their bed and clutch their pearls in worry over an election that will happen ten months from now.
The idea that the rodents can even pick up all of the seats that have manufactured is an article of faith. Many of those “safe” rodent districts rely on illegal aliens being in them.
In November the rodents will be stepping into the ring with no ideas; no money and on the wrong side of every issue that will be on the table.
Fractal will continue the job it started in 2024 and keep kicking out fake voter registration. That BTW is how we won all of the swing states. Moreover we will have kicked out at least 1 million physical illegal voters (not counting infants) which will will diminish the rodents’ ability to cheat. The freak shows we see each night are situated in Minneapolis they are not even in every rodent state. The media has build the rodents a virtual Patinkin village using many of the same fat nose ring Karens over and over again. There are probably about forty thousand od them and that just aint 3.5% of the population Mister Madow.
The popularity of the rodent party is easily below 25% and falling. The videos taken now are campaign gold for our side. Of course there is more but you get the point.
