A fight over an Alabama woman's mother allegedly being 'disrespected' ended with two people shot to death at a wake, according to police.
Jasmine Allen, 35, has been charged with capital murder in the deaths of her great‑uncle, 76‑year‑old Carlton Rufus Allen, and her uncle, 43‑year‑old father‑of‑seven Sonny Arrington.
She is also charged with attempted murder for shooting her sister, Jasmine Ross, who survived a gunshot wound to the leg.
Detectives said Allen and her daughter had arrived at the apartment earlier that evening in a Lyft to join relatives gathering at her mother's home in the Tuxedo Terrace complex in Ensley.
The family had spent the day mourning Ja'Oree Marquel Brown‑Allen, who was shot and killed a week earlier in Fairfield.
Investigators said Allen fired 10 shots through the closed front door of the apartment just before 11.30pm on December 6, while family members were inside eating after the funeral.
When police arrived, the door was riddled with bullet holes, and Arrington and Carlton Allen were found dead in the hallway, both shot multiple times.

It just ain’t a good ‘hood fe Iraq without a few shootings and twerking.
The civilizing process has degeneratd.
WOW! Imagine living for 76 years and being shot/killed by an angry relative!!! Someone needs to legislate/mandate anger management for a whole lot of angry people in this country!
Family Tradition.
Lack of impulse control on full display.
I’m beginning to think it’s in the DNA of a certain ethnicity.
It’s culture. There are too many good POC folks around that would give you the shirt off their back no matter what color you are.
Boo Boo?
A “wake” as a drunken gregarious party is barbarous. Decent people do not act that way. At least not in the small town in Texas I grew up in.
American blacks are big in respect......unfortunately what they don’t understand is respect
has to be earned, not given by default.
The disrespect argument ain’t gonna fly in a court of law.
I knew from the title the people were not Amish!
Never saw anything that bad, thank goodness.
Most, for me, was a Philippine funeral for a family’s mother. The daughter heard I made videos and wouldn’t give up until I agreed to videotape her mother’s funeral. Told her afterwards, she’d chosen well. I don’t know a man who would have pushed in when the fight over the casket started. One sister objected to another sister’s care of the mother and started to bring down the casket lid. Funeral director freaking out over the potential for the latch breaking and the place went into chaos. I got every second in closeup. My customer was thrilled I got it all.
Didn’t need the pic to know
Does anyone in the family die of natural causes?
I don’t think they need to be drunk to shoot.
Yes, It’s Them Again, Boo Boo!
It’s them again, Yogi.
It ain’t a funeral until the bullets start flying.
