To some people, earbuds are life.

Girl was probably just trying to enjoy some Modern English on the job when one of her earbuds fell out and dropped right into the deep fryer. And then, reportedly, she reached in to try to get it out.

Believe it or not, the woman suffered burns to her hand and was treated by an EMS crew and promptly transported to the hospital.

I don't know about you, but I'm gonna go ahead and just assume they cleaned out that fryer.

To STUPID to pull the basket out of the fryer instead and retrieve the damn earbud!!!

Once that ear bud fell into the fryer, it was destroyed, and the fact that this girl thought she could retrieve it, and it would continue to work is absolutely amazing

I assumed it was a reflex, not to save the pod but to not taint the oil. In reality, it's like when I lean forward and my glasses fall off, I become some sort of ninja and just grab them in mid air without even looking, all on pure instinct. No thought given, no time to give it. This is probably what happened and unfortunately it was boiling oil. I feel awful for her, this has to be a devastating burn.
