Trump boasts tariffs creating ‘GREAT WEALTH’ as he predicts ‘pricing’ will decide 2026 midterm elections

President Trump championed his import tariffs Saturday as an economic game changer — while predicting the upcoming midterm elections will hinge on “pricing.”

The tariffs have brought in more than $200 billion this year, according to the Customs and Border Protection agency, but face the potential of being struck down by the Supreme Court.

“Tariffs are creating GREAT WEALTH, and unprecedented National Security for the USA. Trade deficit has been cut by 60%, totally unheard of. 4.3% GDP, and going way up. No inflation!!! We are respected as a Country again,” Trump wrote Saturday morning on Truth Social.

Trump has been riding a wave of good vibes about the economy after a recent positive inflation report.

After a recent burst of economic data, affordability is terrain Trump now believes Republicans can prevail on at the ballot box.

“I think it’s going to be about the success of our country. It’ll be about pricing,” Trump said Friday, blaming the Biden Administration for leaving him a mess.

“Because, you know, they gave us high pricing, and we’re bringing it down. Energy’s way down. Gasoline is way down,” he said in comments to Politico.

RE:...but face the potential of being struck down by the Supreme Court.

And after their ruling affording protection to the urban uprising leftists who plan to kill ICE agents in cities.

Supreme Court Justice: On phone:
“So I want about six more guys sent over here to protect my family and our home tonight. We saw some prowlers outside. I saw rifles, too. It looks like the regular agent’s car just drove away. Uh, hello? Hello?”
Sounds like my cell tower lost my connection. Or someone just hung up. Get my big broom from the basement. I may need it.

This is great. He overrode the word affordability with pricing. Makes more sense.

The Democrats seem to be going all in on “affordability”.

Trump has basically stopped inflation, made wages rise, and changed the word to “pricing”. And suddenly the 2026 economy seems like a winning topic for Trump.

I wish he would stop saying no inflation. It is not zero. Has it been reduced? Absolutely, but it is not zero—and still above the target (which, by itself), makes no sense, and it is still compounding over the mess Biden left us with.

4.6% rise in wages in 2025. That verifies my claim that Trump saw wages rise in 2025.

“while predicting the upcoming midterm elections will hinge on “pricing.””

Pricing, no new wars, deporting, radical transparency on Epstein, and roasting Johnson and Thune on election reform. Insanely, they have not lifted a finger. And no FBI criminals, nor a single fraudster uncovered by DOGE has been prosecuted.

He also needs to quit acting like a school boy on twitter, as if insults and being set on auto-suck for the AI tech bros is going to win the election.

Rib eyes, health insurance, and electric rates are all utterly exploding. Real estate is on life-support. He is lying about no tax on Social Security. Silver is 80 bucks an ounce. Spending is utterly killing us.

He needs to wake up and there is not a minute to waste. If he spends another year fiddle farting around, the Demonrats will take over and we ARE utterly hosed for several decades.

Please name who has gotten this 4.6% rise, nobody I know has gotten any 4.6% rise. This year I got a 2.9% rise as all my coworkers got...Numbers many times are doctored.

Ted Lewis got a 4.6% raise. He lives in Rhode Island. Do you know him? Doesn’t frickin’ matter if you know anyone who got a 4.6% raise. The official data says that’s the figure for 2025. You didn’t get that much? Sorry to hear it. But your little situation does not serve as an effective counter-argument to the official data.

Yes, I wish would also quit saying no tax on social security. He reduced it for most, agreed. But “means testing” (aka mini-socialism) is more prevalent than ever in our confiscatory tax code.

In 2025, the typical wage increase for salaried employees in the U.S. is projected to be around 3.5%.

Customs duties on merchandise imports are called tariffs. Tariffs give a price advantage to locally-produced goods over similar goods which are imported, and they raise revenues for governments.

The problem with giving more revenue to the government... Is that government will be bigger and absolutely nobody benefits from a bigger government.
