What can my fellow Freepers tell me about Shawn Ryan?
He does excellent interviews—allows his guests to speak their minds without fear of disruptive inappropriate interruptions.

Shawn is a former Navy Seal. He’s a straight up guy and his podcasts are on the order of Joe Rogan’s - long in length where the host lets the guest do most of the talking. If you have the time to listen, you get to know the guests much better than in a short interview. I would rank Joe’s show on top, with Shawn’s second. Joe has a super curious mind on a vast array of matters, which is very important in attracting and picking the brain of his guest.
It's a balance to remain an impartial/unbiased interviewer, but still manage the interview with probing questions. What little I saw, I thought Hunter was glad to get have the platform. He is narcissistic and controlled the interview. He used Shawn's show to legitimize himself.
I miss Rush.
Shawn Ryan is one of the good guys.
I turned it off after 30 minutes. When Hunter was going on and on about contentious politics Ryan asked him about the right being called fascists all the time. Hunter responded “if you do t want to be called a fascist, don’t act like one.” Ryan let him get away with that, and that’s when I tuned out
Interviewers are not there to stand up for your pet issue. They are there to draw the interviewee out and let them stand or fall by their own words.
“He used Shawn’s show to legitimize himself.”
That may have been Hunter’s goal—but it is on you the listener if Hunter is successful.
I did not listen to that interview because Hunter is a coke-head clown and a corrupt bag man for the Biden crime family—and I have no interest in what Hunter had to say.
I would never have chosen to interview Hunter.
But—that said—I support free speech and I am not going to be a hypocrite and attack Shawn for interviewing someone I do not like.
Pfft. The thirty minutes I listened to was just mutual pleasuring after Hunter buttered him up by talking about how he enjoys listening to his show. . This guy has a lot to answer for, including being willing to sell out his country to China. Allowing him to soft peddle his and his family’s actions is Ryan not doing his job
Exactly. Now imagine another 4.5 hours of listening to him drone on.
