THIBODAUX, La. -- The teasing was relentless. Nude images of a 13-year-old girl and her friends, generated by artificial intelligence, were circulating on social media and had become the talk of a Louisiana middle school.
The girls begged for help, first from a school guidance counselor and then from a sheriff’s deputy assigned to their school. But the images were shared on Snapchat, an app that deletes messages seconds after they’re viewed, and the adults couldn’t find them. The principal had doubts they even existed.
Among the kids, the pictures were still spreading. When the 13-year-old girl stepped onto the Lafourche Parish school bus at the end of the day, a classmate was showing one of them to a friend.
“That’s when I got angry,” the eighth grader recalled at her discipline hearing.
Fed up, she attacked a boy on the bus, inviting others to join her. She was kicked out of Sixth Ward Middle School for more than 10 weeks and sent to an alternative school. She said the boy whom she and her friends suspected of creating the images wasn’t sent to that alternative school with her. The 13-year-old girl’s attorneys allege he avoided school discipline altogether.

Of course. That’s how liberals deal with problems. Make the victim the one at fault.
Can a school full of kids distribute nude images of a 13-year-old? AI or not, I think that’s child porn and I think it’s frowned upon. It seems odd that neither the school nor police cared.
This is deep in cajun country. The perp is likely the son of someone “important “. He is also likely to wind up as gator bait in the next few months.
I think his friends call him "Buggy-Whip Bob". They often chat on the telegraph.
I would sue the civil snot out of the boys’ parents. Since there were multiple girls victimized it would be a group suit for a ginormous amount.
Even if we didn’t win, those parents would be broke paying lawyers.
“… When the sheriff’s department looked into the case, they took the opposite actions. They charged two of the boys who’d been accused of sharing explicit images — and not the girl.….”

Props to the Sheriff’s Department. And, once again, we have sorry, pathetic non-action (or, worse, wrongly directed action) by the School officials. Our education establishment is getting worse and worse as time goes on.
Or the whistlebower. Investigators get investigated, etc. Always the same playbook. Can’t really blame them, because it works.
Principal Bob looked on his rotary phone, and couldn’t find the pictures ANYWHERE.
Then he looked on his 8-tracks...
Yes. Just like school counselors will not report rape when a 13 year old girl tells them she is pregnant.
Of course. That’s how liberals deal with problems. Make the victim the one at fault.
Punish the innocent, reward the guilty, AKA anarcho-tyranny.
She assaulted a student.
If it's true no one at the school would take her concerns seriously, a good lawyer will get her a nice settlement.
You know what word doesn't appear in this article? Parent. Does she have at least one parent? Why is there no mention of her asking her parents for help?
This article is trying to create a narrative for someone's agenda.
Retired urban public high school teacher here. I’m not surprised by this story in the least. Public school administrators are all about PR. Sweep complaints under the rug. Hide the problems. Gotta make the district look good.
And when a victim fights back against bullies, punish the victim. By the way, this also goes for when a teacher makes a complaint. Punished the teacher.
Valpal1 is right. The only thing that gets their attention is lawsuits. Just don’t forget to sue the school district along with the bully’s parents.
here’s some local news
Is his name Amos Moses?
predictable result of allowing criminals to vote.
Jerry, is that you?
He’s probably got the boy doing “special AI projects” while on double-secret probation.
