Rob Reiner’s daughter, Romy Reiner, reportedly “lived in fear” of her older brother, Nick Reiner, before he allegedly killed their parents.
“It feels like Romy has been scared of Nick since she was a child,” an insider told the Daily Mail Sunday.
“Even before his drug addiction, his outbursts were frightening because they seemed to come out of nowhere. She tried to stay out of his way as much as she could but it wasn’t easy.”
The source alleged that Romy, who will be celebrating her 28th birthday on Dec. 27, “didn’t think it was a good idea” for Nick, 32, to be living in their parents’ guesthouse.
“She didn’t even like the idea of him living across the street from her,” the insider claimed, explaining that the internet personality lived next door to her dad, Rob, and mom, Michele Singer Reiner.
“But she knew they moved him in so they could keep a close eye on him and give him a roof over his head,” the source said.

U R right-it’s genetics. The illegal drugs(+ environment) make it worse we can all agree. Set him loose and a stranger gets killed. Try to help and he kills his parents.
Institutionalize him and the do-gooders claim they make it worse by interfering with their rights.
Something tells me that’s what padded cells are for. Burly attendants toss them in the cells when they have a breakdown and they act out until they’re exhausted-no medication or less of it. Might be the best alternative.
Romy really doesn’t resemble him, either. Probably just luck.
California could give Nick Reiner the John Hinckley, Jr. treatment. Spend many years in a nuthouse then eventually get released.

Reiner was funding and foisting legislation on others yet he was a mess. He checked into an Institution after Trump won. While screaming Fascist he wanted to force homosexuality on kids in school, legalize drugs, pay for sex changes, and defund the Police.
You see the gates around his house. Police had to call his “assistant” to get into the Property.

Rob Reiner was a very angry man. I wonder if it was the drugs he took that did this and what drove his son and daughter to become drug users. Or was his “Special Interest” in children?

Our youngest son doesn’t look very much like me or my hubby, but he does look very much like some of my siblings and several cousins, and on hubby’s side, very much like hubby’s uncles. He does have some similarities to both his brother and sister, too.
I wouldn’t be surprised that a DNA test would show that Nick is Rob’s son.
A close friend's brother developed schizophrenia back in the early 80's. The brother was living on a beach in northern Michigan and my friend tried to get him committed.
The local judge, who was a family friend, couldn't do anything until the brother became either a danger to others or himself.
Finally, in the fall when winter was setting in, my friend was able to get the brother committed to the state hospital. He was only there until he was properly medicated.
That was only the beginning. His history of schizophrenia was filled with many stories.
It's a very horrible disease.
I watched a documentary on the life of Albert Brooks yesterday by Rob Reiner. Reiner interviewed him about his career. At one point Brooks talked about his book 2030. Brooks said the book was about how their kids would grow up to kill them. Reiner went wow.
Smoking dope like he did since 14 causes Schizophrenia. His sister said she smoked 25 joints a day and broke her addiction and is only smoking 3 before bed.
Schizophrenia has nothing to do with smoking dope and everything to do with who you inherited your genes from.
Somebody in either Rob Reiner’s ancestral past, or his wife’s ancestral past had Schizophrenia.
It’s an inherited trait that runs in families... There is such a thing as having ‘temporary’ Psychotic symptoms and those can be caused by substances... Schizophrenia on the other hand is not ‘temporary’, it’s a lifelong condition that there is no ability to return from... And you can smoke pot, not smoke pot, do this and don’t do that and it won’t help at all.. Because you are screwed from the start which typically happens from your late teens until your early 30s.
