Rob Reiner’s daughter, Romy Reiner, reportedly “lived in fear” of her older brother, Nick Reiner, before he allegedly killed their parents.
“It feels like Romy has been scared of Nick since she was a child,” an insider told the Daily Mail Sunday.
“Even before his drug addiction, his outbursts were frightening because they seemed to come out of nowhere. She tried to stay out of his way as much as she could but it wasn’t easy.”
The source alleged that Romy, who will be celebrating her 28th birthday on Dec. 27, “didn’t think it was a good idea” for Nick, 32, to be living in their parents’ guesthouse.
“She didn’t even like the idea of him living across the street from her,” the insider claimed, explaining that the internet personality lived next door to her dad, Rob, and mom, Michele Singer Reiner.
“But she knew they moved him in so they could keep a close eye on him and give him a roof over his head,” the source said.

Had a friend whose son had the same condition. He killed a family friend. Only then did they put him away. Even if the Reiners had the resources being committed would have presented legal roadblocks.
The cops reaction to any female being harassed: “We can’t do anything until after he kills ya.”

My parents were both conservative, and Christian. My mom was troubled and scarred. My dad had an unhappy childhood, as did my mom. All of their children grew up very scarred. There are four of us. Two of us treasure having our father. One of us, me, treasure our mom too.
I can’t blame the Reiner parents for their supposed killer son. In some ways how kids turn out is inexplicably partially random.

Has nothing to do with it. Nick was born mentally ill. His father being a left wing lunatic didn’t make Nick become a schizophrenic. If Rob or his wife had anything to do with it, it was passed on through genetics not their politics or behaviors. Schizophrenia is a Cluster A disorder which are overwhelmingly geneticly pre-disposed. Oddly, it wasn’t Rob’s behaviors that passed it on, but could very well have been his genetics.
The dude is 6’-3” and he’s schizophrenic... Anybody and everybody in their right mind should be very very scared of him.
