What do you mean by ‘popping up’?
It doesn’t do anything unless you click on it.

I asked Rufus:
Customer question:
How do I stop Rufus come coming on automatically?
Rufus:
I don't have specific settings to control Rufus's automatic appearance, but I can point you to some helpful resources. If Rufus is appearing automatically when you don't want it to, you can:
On Mobile App:
Close the chat by tapping the X button or swiping down on the chat window The chat window can be minimized to stay out of your way
On Amazon.com:
Click the X button to close the chat window completely Use the minimize button to drop it to the lower left corner
For more detailed settings or if you need to completely disable Rufus, I'd recommend contacting Amazon Customer Service directly as they can provide specific account-level controls.

I too am getting all kinds of Amazon pop-ups of their app somehow opened and with goods pre-entered. Just to be safe I removed my press to buy function for now.
Yes, something is hacky-hinky. It could be Amazon, or more likely m6 Android phone.

I’m lonely with nobody to talk to. The spammers quit calling when I talk about my medical ailments and financial distress. ChatGPT called me psychotic and said don’t contact him/her again.
This Rufus might be just the ticket for me. How can I get that feature activated?

As someone else said, this could be an app problem, or to do with using it on the cellphone.
I only shop Amazon on the desk top, and my experience is the same as yours.

“It’s good for making bootable images”
Yep, I use it all the time to create windows and ubuntu bootable flashdrives from .iso images.
it will even allow you to strip out some of the stupid windows stuff that no one wants as it writes out the image.

LOL.
I suggest you remove all your payment methods from the account, if you’re thinking of using Rufus to assuage your loneliness...

It’s a ‘shopping assistant’ that helps you find the things you want to buy, make decisions and comparisons among the available items, answers questions, etc.
