Brian Grazer Voted for Trump, Admitting It Felt Like “Getting Canceled”

The longtime Democratic donor says he jumped ship to Trump in new documentary.

A documentary going behind the scenes of Donald Trump‘s 2024 campaign contains an unexpected moment between the president and Brian Grazer.

The Oscar-winning producer and longtime Democratic donor is shown schmoozing with Trump inside the V.I.P. box at a football game, according to The New York Times‘ coverage of a Fox Nation documentary series titled Art of the Surge.

In the documentary, Grazer gets his photo taken with Trump and informs people in the room he voted for the Republican, as well. But when Grazer told “some women he knows” that he wasn’t voting for Democrat Kamala Harris, the effect was almost like “getting canceled,” the Times quotes him saying.

The Times also reached out to Grazer, who explained his Trump vote thusly: “As a centrist, it was because I could feel and see Biden’s deterioration and the lack of direction in the Democratic Party at that time.”

Art of the Surge season two is currently streaming on Fox Nation. The documentary is produced by former Tucker Carlson Tonight executive producer Justin Wells, who was fired from Fox News along with Carlson in 2023, in the wake of the Dominion lawsuit. He has since launched a new company, Ashokan Studios, which he says will produce high-quality content aimed at conservative audiences.

Grazer reportedly donated to Harris in the past as well as raised money for other Democrats. The Imagine Entertainment co-founder was also among those signing an open letter thanking Joe Biden in 2023 for his efforts to release hostages in Gaza.

Last month, Grazer and his producing partner Ron Howard attended the The Wall Street Journal‘s The Future of Everything conference where he predicted that AI wouldn’t be replacing Hollywood writers anytime soon.

“No one can point to where AI could produce soul, or life essence, or the best entertainment storytelling. Movies and television usually become memorable because you feel the soul or energy of something that is another dimension,” Grazer said.

Has Hollywood writing been producing that lately? I must have missed it.

Exactly.

The horrid preachy propaganda coming out of Hollywood can easily be replaced by AI.

He knows it isn’t true, but he can’t say it. The DEI hacks posing as writers for the last 10 years have done more to push producers to use AI for writers than anything else.

Writing for movies and TV has been abysmal and they know it. You can only afford to spew talking points as long as you make money and they don’t make money, and the USAID money has dried up to cover their losses.

Absolutely. The woke trash that has made audiences disappear in the last decade. Companies are using the AI excuse to blame their firing of worthless DEI Karens as well.

The gigantic, enormous, cataclysmic stories of our time are right in front of us almost every day, and Hollywood won't touch them. Can't even say them out loud.

Human trafficking. Rape gangs. Slavery, still going on in Africa and the middle east. Death by Fentanyl going on by the hundreds of thousands in our country.

Can't talk about it. Can't even bring it up. No way.

HA!! The Oscars literally have a dei checklist and if the movie the studio has does not meet it then no award for you so the studios caved in and the plummeting box office and near empty soundstages and now the oscars on youtube are the result.
