Trump dealt major blow as Indiana Senate rejects redistricting map that would’ve added 2 GOP House seats

President Donald Trump suffered a major political setback on Thursday in his push to pass congressional redistricting in red states.

After months of arm-twisting by the president, top allies and aligned groups, the Indiana Senate voted down a new map championed by Trump that would have created two more right-leaning congressional districts in the solidly red Midwestern state, where the GOP controls seven of Indiana's nine U.S. House seats.

The districts of Democratic Reps. Frank Mrvan and Andre Carson would have been eliminated.

The vote in the chamber was 31-19, with 21 Republicans joining 10 Democrats in voting against the new map.

This place is full of idiots running around talking about fairness.

The democrats are now praising them while plotting when and how to stab them in the back.

This short sighted and stupid.

RINOs are the biggest threat to MAGA, not socialist Dems.

They don’t want to lead - just complain, talk about things they’ll never do and collect campaign cash.

Not really a “major blow.” Just an occasion for some primary action.

Yes, all they care about is staying in power and enriching themselves. They are more than happy to be losers in a minority party as long as they are cashing in.

Proof, once again, that Democrats consider politics a war while Republicans consider politics a mere difference of opinion.

Republican voters are to blame. Vote for RINOs and moderates and you’ll get RINOs and moderates.

This is why we lose.

Today’s Democrats have fire in the belly. They are determined to get their way.

Too often, today’s Republicans are just the opposite: Let’s look up Robert’s Rules of Order to see what we’re allowed to do. Then it’s off to the country club for martinis.

As a Hoosier I am greatly disappointed that all those RINO’s voted with the rats, all 21 of them. What they did was absolutely traitorous to vote like that against their own party. It just goes to show who we can trust in, and who we can’t.

DJT poorly worded “affordability “ comment still does not let the “progressiv s” off the hook for damaging the economy starting with the “inflation Reduction Act “. $2T Federal deficit brings down the value of the Dollar. You will buy less with the same. That main bill has caused housing costs to now encompass 51% of income. DOGE gave a chance to slow the decline. The Deep State squashed that.
I used to think Klaus Schwabs comment of “You will own nothing and be happy” is a conspiracy.

Agreed.

Moderate Republicans are much more dangerous than democrats,

because moderate republicans blur the distinction between liberalism and conservatism,,,

making liberalism MUCH MORE ACCEPTABLE!
