FReepers of a certain vintage will recall that strange species of missive, the “Opus.” Periodically members would leave, but would pen an “Opus,” the lengthy explanation. I never quite understood these; they seemed a bit self-important to me.
Today is my 25th anniversary on FR. I’m not going to anywhere, so this is my “No-Pus.” Many thanks to my FRiends for this great community. Apologies if I’ve ever been unduly unkind.
As of today I have 12,777 replies, 1.4 per day on average for 25 years. When I post a stat like this, some of my FRiends will point out that they have 200,000 or 300,000 posts and replies. All I can do is promise to try harder in my next 25 years.

Mine also passed unnoticed on November 29 (I just remembered that I signed up during the battle over the Florida electoral votes...I had been a lurker since March 1998).
Should have left the hyphen out of the header. Should just read “NOPUS” vs. “OPUS”. The hyphen makes it read like you never had acne as a kid growing up.

Gosh, I’m just a rank amateur at 22,520 replies (well, technically I guess it’s about to be 22,521). My posts kinda tapered off 20-or-so years ago after my infamous Saturday night “Korea goes hot” post ( [eyes lifting Heavenward] .. Thank you for sparing me JimRob, I promose to keep being good!)
