Beer and Wisconsin go together like brats and, well, beer. But for quite some time, a bottle from America's oldest brewery has not been available in the Badger State.
That's changing soon.
Yuengling on Monday announced it will expand its distribution into Wisconsin starting next year. The brewer began selling its beer in Illinois earlier this year.
"As a 6th-generation family brewer, our family has always believed that great beer brings people together," Chief Administrative Officer Wendy Yuengling said. "Each new state we enter feels like welcoming more people into the Yuengling family."
Founded in Pottsville, Pa. in 1829, Yuengling holds the title of America's oldest-operating brewery. In 2020, the brewer announced a joint venture with Molson Coors allowing it to expand its sales into the Midwest and further west.

After the Bud Light fiasco I switched to Yuengling. I prefer the Yuengling Flights. The lager is too heavy for me.
Our soling with an engine in back for safety on the river was stern heavy. We used cases of cans Yuengling in the bow for ballast.
Yuengling was unavailable in TX five years ago - now a day hardly goes by where I don’t see one of their trucks whizzing by down the road or a billboard by the highway. You’re next.
Still unavailable in Arizona. Just make sure that Molson-Coors doesn’t buy you out. Duopolies are dangerous.
I still prefer Sam Adams, but Yuengling is better than the Bud Light/Miller swill....
My daughter manages a liquor store in Bella Vista, AR, the extreme NW corner of the state. Wal Mart urged Yuengling to start selling their product in Arkansas, and when they did enter the Arkansas market, my daughter’s store sales exploded!
People from the neighboring states started showing up and buying as much as 50 cases at a time, due to the fact it was the first store in Arkansas they could access.
Found this wonderful beer back in the early 90’s at my mothers’ assisted living home in PA. Once I tried it I knew it was a winner! For years I couldn’t get it in Texas ……. Till they chose to expand and then BINGO it came out of the box with a world win advertising program and the rest is history
The Girls That Made Milwaukee Famous! :)
WOW! I knew there were Yuengling fans here on FR. I’m not a beer drinker other than a cold one after a hot day of lawn mowing, but I’ll give this one a try.
Would make a nice gift for my ‘Beer Snob’ sister in the future, LOL! (Yuengling won’t be available here until next year.)
Ying-Ling, isn’t that a Chinese beer?
I grew up in central PA not too far from Pottsville. Always liked their Porter, back when no one else made a dark beer in the USA.
Never did like this beer..
With diabetes I don’t drink very often. But it’s nice to know I can get Yuengling in the enchanted mitten now.

Back when Dick Yuengling used to do the brewery tours himself. I was there about 1980.
He’s in his 80’s now and a big Trump supporter.
The best beer in Wisconsin is Spotted Cow from New Glarus.

We should go Cow Tipping some evening.
Maybe shoot a few Fat Squirrels.
Good company. Fairly priced decent beer.
Nice to know.
