The age record, belonging to Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment (1885-1997), stands 122 years and 164 days.

Math skills have not improved with longevity.

When Fidel Castro died of natural causes at age 90, he had outlived the US Presidential administrations of 10 Presidents.

“Communist revolutionary died aged 90, after antagonizing 10 different US administrations, and snubbing an eleventh.”

When John F. Kennedy was being sworn in, a network newsman said, in a largely condescending tone implying old people don’t have much more of life ahead of them, he said the white haired Cardinal Richard Cushing had now lived long enough to see the beginning of the first Catholic President’s years in the White House.

Then JFK was dead in 1963, his brother Robert was dead in 1968 and Cushing lasted until 1970 when he died at age 75.

Xi Jinping knows how China is extending the lives of elderly CCP members. They use forced organ transplants from Falun Gong and Uyghur prisoners. The problem was that this supply of organs created political issues when the world found out about it, so the PLA developed methods to transplant organs from babies that were bred with the genetic material from the intended recipient. They also breed babies for their stem cells to replenish platelets and other blood products from ageing patients. Here’s a link to a website by a Chinese expat who reads the Chinese press reports that Western sources don’t follow. https://youtu.be/jaCpQfm6yNE

The “clipping” of the telomere with each cell division is your biological clock. If one does not die of disease or trauma your own telomers will be your demise. With each division of a cell it becomes slightly less functional and we age slowly and then die when the functional processes of the cells are not adequate to maintain life.

Me = 77 and am shooting for maximum age so long as I am mentally competent and not in great pain. Based on my familial history and health history I will probably check out in 10 to 15 years or perhaps less. I am okay with this.

Supplements with “telomerase activators” appeared and were actively advertised as natural rejuvenating remedies. However, clinical studies showed that the effect of such products on human telomere length is minimal or statistically insignificant. Moreover, uncontrolled stimulation of cell division in aging tissues can cause mutations or inflammation.

"Do these telomeres make my ass look big? Tell the truth."
