At least two people are wounded in a shooting at a mall in San Jose, California on Black Friday.
“Units are currently investigating a shooting at Valley Fair Mall in West San Jose. Two victims were located and have been transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds,” San Jose Police Department said on Friday evening.
“Please avoid the area while officers investigate and work to ensure everyone’s safety,” the police said.
The San Jose Police Department said it is not an active shooter situation and it appears to be an isolated incident:

However, officers are evacuating and clearing the mall to confirm there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

I agree - I once drove from Santa Clara over to East San Jose to visit a typewriter repair store [Yep, that old, probably 52 years ago]. Got to the neighborhood - Nope, I Do Not belong here. I KNOW IT, THEY KNOW IT. Never went back.

Okay, but Valley Fair isn’t in East San Jose. It’s not in a bad neighborhood. It’s by the freakin’ Winchester Mystery House, and is one of the most upscale malls in the Bay Area.

LOL...sounds like a guy who would be “sheltering in place” and the PD would be using an “abundance of caution” to avoid turning him active.

I was headed south on 101 to Morgan Hill and around 20 cop cars were heading north lights and sirens.
Must be mutual aid.
I try to avoid all “gun-free” zones - unless I’m carrying myself.....can’t count how man “gun-free” zones/states I’ve carried in - and never shot anyone....
