Sarah Beckstrom, one of the West Virginia National Guard members shot in a cowardly ambush by an Afghan refugee Wednesday, has died.
The 20-year-old’s grieving father confirmed she died of her injuries in a heartwrenching Facebook post Thursday.
“My baby girl has passed to glory. If I don’t talk to you don’t be offend[ed] this has been a horrible tragedy,” Gary Beckstrom posted just after 6 p.m.
President Trump also announced the young Guard member’s passing during a Thanksgiving evening call to half a dozen military units to mark the holiday.
“She’s just passed away. She’s no longer with us. She’s looking down at us right now,” a somber Trump told the service members. “Incredible person, outstanding in every single way.”

Seeing that grieving picture of Trump just makes me want to cry. Oh, the burden he has to endure. God bless Trump and Sarah’s family and friends.
My heart goes out to these parents so much. I can’t imagine.
My son died in a fire at Easter, my mom on Christmas Day. However, Sarah’s death is worse coming from a guest to the US. I totally agree with President Trump’s Thanksgiving Day tweet. Get the foreigners out.

The shooter needs a public execution on all TV channels in a live feed as he is croaked off, very, very slowly and painfully. He is not a US citizen and does not deserve the protection of the US Constitution. The method of execution must be very cruel and unusual. In 2003, my brother’s funeral was over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was in his 40s, and had a heart attack while playing with his four very young children. Thanksgivings now have a cloud.
For the father of Sarah, Thanksgiving will always be a very sad and painful day.

The killer has five young kids. Think of how much government assistance it is going to take to raise those kids? What is likelihood one won’t be radicalized? How much is it going to cost to convict him and either execute him or keep him in jail for the rest of his life?
