Tribal peoples needed all their resources within walking distance. Their frequency of interchange outside the clan was vastly less than agro-urban societies today. A plague under those conditions can irrupt with less risk of becoming a pandemic.

Wonder where it came from?
Not a lot of global trade or inner country commerce to spread it around...

Huh, I thought the Plague was from China.

“Tribal peoples needed all their resources within walking distance.”
And in the 21st Century the globalists, Democrats, etc., are repeating history with their Fifteen Minute Cities. Talk about progress. ;)

Bubonic plague is thought to have come from China or Central Asia. However, there have been other pandemics that were called plagues, including one that swept through the Roman Empire in AD 165 that was thought to be smallpox and another in 251 that was thought to be measles.

This was Yersinia pestis, the bacterium responsible for plague.
They do note it lacked the genetic adaptations of the later Chinese plague that made it so contagious.
