” biologically weaponized”

Hmmm...who wants to force us to eat his fake meat product?

I’m sure I would die if I couldn’t eat meat.

A tick bite is not a "meat product."

The tick bite makes you allergic to meat. It says so right in the headline.

Before the medical community identified alpha gal we veterinarians knew there was something about allergies in dogs that were triggered by meat. We were using novel proteins to keep them from getting sick...kangaroo, duck, potato, chicken, lamb and fish. 20 years later the physician biochemist identified the culprit that stimulated the allergy, the Lone Star tick.

“However, he and his wife were uncertain of what had happened, so they decided not to consult a doctor.”

Sound reasoning...

For anyone who has alpha-gal, ostrich is virtually identical to beef in color, texture, and taste but doesn’t have the same protein and is supposed to be a safe alternative to beef.

Would be easy to find ostrich meat in Australia or Africa. But probably not in N America.

I wouldn’t say it’s easy to find, and it’s not cheap but for an occasional treat, it can be had.

A search on X will reveal two michigan scientists, and a “chinese american” (who has a Ted talk) are behind research into— and fully support— imposing this allergy on everyone.
