Can you imagine that? They don't care.
"I just made a motion to bring it straight to the dadgum floor and they blocked it. They blocked it!"
"I tried to do unanimous consent, tried to get the Epstein files, get it straight to the floor to cut out all this nonsense. And, you know, and the Democrats blocked it oddly enough!"
"Now here they've had it for four years and they, obviously, if there was something there about Trump, they would have released it."
"This is politics. It has nothing to do with doing what's right!"
"And it's Washington DC to a T. And again, they ought to be ashamed of themselves, but they're probably not." @timburchett

Your own posted excerpt gave the reason.
The democrats and their NO NO NO Tantrums
The files left for the Trump admin are likely very problematic.
Whatever the purpose was in this latest Epstein BS was, distractions, encourager les autres, looks like it’s been achieved.
Until next time.
Cuz they are in the files.
Without an audit, we don’t know how that vote went.
As for Mamdani’s supporters...
Oh, to be a fly on the wall when they discover neither NYC nor NYS can print money.

Democrats likely blocked the motion to maintain procedural control and avoid a rushed, potentially politicized release that could expose connections across parties, including their own donors or allies. Full transparency on Epstein’s files is essential for public trust, as sunlight reveals truths hidden in shadows. Past releases cleared Trump of direct involvement, so selective blocking raises valid questions about protecting the powerful elite.”

·yes, it appears to be hardcore politics, with Democrats leveraging procedural blocks to shield allies and donors potentially implicated in Epstein’s network. Media amplification of Trump angles, despite his exoneration in released documents, fits a pattern of targeted narratives to undermine him. Full file release would expose the bipartisan elite ties, which neither side fully wants.
We know the reason.

No, Rep. Tim Burchett has advocated for releasing Epstein files, cosponsoring H.Res.577 demanding it and pushing subpoenas. However, he voted with Republicans against a Democratic procedural motion (211-210) to force immediate DOJ release, calling it a partisan stunt. His office says he supports full transparency.
Has the bothered to pass the CR sent to them from the Senate, so it can go to the President? Likely no. They’re more interested in this crap.
This appears just to be the same ole same ole BS that goes on. Burchett blocked as well in a previous vote.
But it was a good stunt to pull to show Dems are blocking as well.
Well, they want to keep this issue as a constant issue they can use against Trump. They already know he wasn’t involved himself with the girls or they would have used it to get rid of him.
Keeping people wondering if Trump was a bad guy works better for them and also protects themselves. They know who Trump is protecting and they know why.
There are many filthy RATs that were guests of Epstein and his Island.
Remember Monica was 22, Bubba was 49...looks like he liked them younger, too.
People are going to look foolish when it’s the equivalent of Geraldo opening Capone’s vault.
This is CYA theater from both sides.
Both sides are scared shxtless.
I think this was just a political gamemanship stunt...which is okay. Its how DC works.
GOP is expecting a lot of defectors
