Stephen King did not hold back, going against James Woods' political post against New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. King has spoken up on politics
Stephen King came to Zohram Mamdani's defense after James Woods sent out a political message.
The horror author replied to the actor on X, formerly known as Twitter, after Woods expressed how people were "easily fooled" by Mamdani's promises to the city of New York. Mamdani recently won the Mayoral election against Andrew Cuomo, an independent candidate and former governor of New York, and republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.
Woods wrote on the platform, "Wait a minute. So this little commie is, of course, promising free stuff to everybody, BUT he’s asking for money from his constituents before he even takes office. It’s just sickening how easily fooled people can be. If schools stopped teaching DEI and 'gender' nonsense, and stuck to history, social studies, and economics, this guy would be panhandling under a bridge."

The IT author quote replied to the post and wrote, "I agree that it's sickening how easily people can be fooled. Look who they elected President!"
Woods was replying to Mamdani's video post, thanking New Yorkers for their vote after making history. Mamdani will be the first Muslim Mayor of New York City.

In the video, the Mayor-elect tells New Yorkers that they could start donating to transition2025.com because the transition will require "staff, research, and an infrastructure that can meet this moment."
Some of the things Mamdani has promised New Yorkers includes lowering the cost of rent, free buses and more.
This is not the first time King has spoken out again Trump.
The Shining author has openly endorsed "No Kings" protests, which Trump supporters have labeled as "Hate America" rallies.
Massive crowds of demonstrators marched and assembled throughout the U.S. on Saturday, October 18, to protest what they perceive as the government's rapid slide toward authoritarianism under Trump. Protesters took to the streets in major cities including New York City, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles.
House Speaker Mike Johnson circulated an article claiming that the demonstrations were being bankrolled by George Soros' foundations and took to X, "It turns out the 'Hate America' Rallies tomorrow are being funded by the billionaire who hates America the MOST. Anyone surprised?"
King fired back at his remarks, writing on X, "They are actually Love America rallies, Mike. Ordinary people, man, trying to save the country from a despot."
I’d like to propose a story idea for Mr. King. An author has his mind infiltrated and taken over by a mind virus which prevents him from thinking rationally, forces him to sputter nonsense and oppose all that is decent in the world, while remaining oblivious to the virus’s effects.
My car’s fenders have a couple small dings in them. If asked why, I reply they are where I hit Ben Vereen AND Stephen King.
Get a mirror Stephen
LOL i’m trying to find out what happened but i think i just read the same thing four times...
BTW- the big joke this morning in my gym is the POS governor of NY who backed aytollah mamdani has evidently said the state can’t or won’t pay for the free busses and government grocery store that were promised- so James Woods is correct- again!!!
King has been fooled twice that I can recall in the past two months by satirical or false reports. I know for one, he admitted and apologized. The other, I don’t think he ever admitted he was fooled.
On about 9/11, King posted that Charlie Kirk advocated stoning gays to death. On 9/12, he posted “I was wrong, and I apologize, I have deleted the post”.
The most recent one he posted on 10/26 that Trump said he’d invite neither the Dodgers nor the Blue Jays to the Whitehouse if they won the series because of how much he dislikes Canada and California.
King went off on how this proved what a “louse” the president was. Only to get community noted that the President never said such a thing and that the image came from a satire account.
So King should know what it is to be easily fooled.
Stephen King is still alive????
And his fangirls all faint.
King is vying for an audience with the Pope.
“Stephen King says ‘it’s sickening how easily people can be fooled’”
he should know: he keeps getting fooled by spoof websites ...
Why would he want an audience with the Pope?
I think Stevenn King has been the one who has had to apologize for being gullible. I believe that was something he said about Charlie Kirk, until his comments were debunked as lies.
The horror author vs. the megagenius who’s not easily fooled!
Well King does know a thing or two about being a fool... From personal experience.
I've read that he's long married to his high school sweetheart, a woman named Tabatha. She's also a published writer, likely thanks to his connections.
You mean "the press" formerly known as journalists?
“I agree that it’s sickening how easily people can be fooled. Look who they elected President!”
I know, Joe Biden? How stupid are they?
The fact that anybody buys your books these days only proves that many people are stupid and can be fooled.
Dipwad hasn't wrote anything worth reading in over 30 years.
He’s a very disturbed person. I can only come to the conclusion that he’s possessed. Needs to repent.
“They are actually Love America rallies, Mike. Ordinary people, man, trying to save the country from a despot.”
Just like abusers giving their spouses “love taps” to keep them from making “bad” decisions.
