Optical images captured on November 9 reveal that 3I/ATLAS is ejecting enormous jets of material both toward and away from the sun. The jets stretch nearly 600,000 miles sunward and almost 1.8 million miles in the opposite direction, roughly the diameter of the sun or the moon in the sky.
At its current distance of 203 million miles from Earth, these distances represent the first clear measurements of the vast size of 3I/ATLAS's activity....

This is true.
We are continually learning how little we know.
God keeps us busy by sprinkling little clues around the universe.
God has a wicked sense of humor.
And appears to be on a course that will take it to a real space mystery ... if it is not in the process of disintegrating.
The young solar system [ TYC8241-2652-1 ] it was a proto-planetarry system with a disk of quadrillions of tons of material surrounding a sun. But a few years later, the disk was almost gone - 10 million trillion tons of mass gone. No cogent astronomical explanation given. The system is about 500 light years distant or about the time of the European Renaissance when the material disappeared.

3I, coming from the vicinity of the galactic core, is on course for that system. Odds for that chance are huge against it [ 60,000:1 ]. Another anomaly. It will take multiple course adjustments like gravity assist maneuvers around other suns to actually get there.
My wife complains about my outgassing all the time. I blame it on the cats.

My first thought was “retrorockets.” Same thing.
Let’s hope that elements of this story are sensationalized crap, because I am not anxious for intelligent alien life (or their AI) to be examining us. Any civilization capable of sending such a probe could crush us like a bug in very short order.
