Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy said in an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" that he's experiencing daily antisemitism — a shift, he said, from the occasional hateful comments that he used to get.
"It's every day now. Like, there's a definitive shift in what's going on," Portnoy told Tony Dokoupil in an interview that will air next Sunday.
On Friday, Portnoy was recording a "One Bite" pizza review in Mississippi when someone yelled an antisemitic comment at him. His interview with Dokoupil was taped before the incident, but their conversation touched on a recent rise in hateful comments.
Portnoy said he feels that it's important for him to speak out. "For me, being a Jewish person, like, you got to step up," he said. "You're kind of someone people look up to in the Jewish community. You have to be, like, 'All right, this is not normal ha-ha with the guys. People are coming up with real hate.'"

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s sending his own hecklers out there to drum up interest.
While I never heard of the interviewee, he’s correct that many people have swallowed the enemy’s Big Lies — hook line and sinker.
The Fakestinian- Qatari- Soroznazi propaganda is so pervasive in the mass media that it would make Goebbels proud.
It’s just groypers trolling him when they hear he’s out and about. Portnoy is pretty annoying.
The trend toward anti-semitism and anti-Israel is real. Carlson, Fuentes, Owens, Ye and many others are jumping in with the leftist palestinians and communists and globalists. The pendulum is swinging, and hating Jews is becoming acceptable again. I hope conservatives are smart enough to reject these idiots.
That's because the left, via the MSM, has told them it's ok now.
It's fascinating that anti-semitism has skyrocketed since the Oct 7 massacre of Jews by Palestinians.
One might think that the horrific brutality would make a big chunk of people have negative feelings toward Palestinians. But no. The Palestinians performed horrific acts and they got all the sympathy. Jews were slaughtered, and the world decided to hate the Jews more than ever.
It's weird.
I will say that I have changed my mind about the slogan “Never Again” which came out after WWII and the Jewish Holocaust. I used to think it was a good slogan and a worthwhile goal. But I now think that it is important to acknowledge that people are irrevocably flawed. Never again? No. It will ALWAYS happen again. There is never any stopping it. We need to live in a world where terrible things happen. And the rise in anti-semitism I see all around is part of this: it prepares the field so that future atrocities can be carried out by people who will shrug and say “The Jews had it coming.”
I think decent people should try not to join that crowd.
No way. Really? I couldn’t tell…
Democrats started this crap with the ‘river to the sea’ evil... And how do we know democrats were using that as a way to stir up hatred for Israel and Jews?
Because when Trump stepped into the fray to try to end the conflict - as best he could - there was no cheering or thanks for the so-called ‘ progressive protesters’ - or the party or liberal ‘elites’ who were paying them. Just crickets.
They never cared about Gaza - they cared about stirring up hate.
What is a Groyper?
There is a definite and dramatic shift to increased antisemitism globally. Numerous reports from Jewish organizations/monitoring bodies confirm a record-breaking surge in antisemitic incidents and rhetoric, particularly following the Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent Israeli war.
Key indicators of this shift include:
<><>Record High Incidents: The Anti-Defamation League reported record numbers of antisemitic incidents in the US in 2023-24, with the total number in 2023 more than double the previous year. Similar spikes are reported in countries across Europe, South America, and Australia.
<><>Post-Oct 7 Surge: The period immediately following the Oct 7 attacks saw an unprecedented spike in reported incidents in many countries, with increases ranging from several hundred to over 1000% compared to the previous year. This is not temporary, as incident levels have remained historically high since then.
<>><>Increased Severity and Visibility: The nature of the incidents are more brazen, including violent assaults, vandalism of synagogues and Jewish-owned businesses, and explicit hate speech at rallies and on college campuses. Many Jews report feeling unsafe wearing symbols of their faith in public.
<><>Online Hate Speech: a significant surge in online antisemitic content, with nearly a tenfold increase in the week after Oct 7.
The “ADL Global 100 report” indicated double the number of people globally harboring antisemitic attitudes in 2024 compared to a decade ago. This shift is widely considered to be a serious, pervasive problem moving from the fringes into more mainstream public discourse, prompting a widespread sense of insecurity among global Jewish communities.
you win the ignorant award...congrats.
He’s such a POS, that wouldn’t surprise me either.
Christians and/or Trump voter have the same concerns.
Dave should listen to Mark Levin for five seconds...
It seems to have really taken off since Charlie Kirk’s murder.
Thus the left has blood on its hands, big time.
A sign of the times.
We’re even seeing alarming amounts of it here on FR.

...we should not be surprised. As noted above, suffering antisemitism has been the rule of Jewish history, and the exception is antisemitism’s ‘hibernation’ during the last half of the twentieth century.
However, in the twenty-first century the historical train of antisemitism is ‘back on the tracks’ and the wolves are howling in the night as the train continues its historical, ongoing journey...
