You can do the research on how a large part of Kirk’s troops supported Fuentes.
It is true Charlie was not happy about it—but he was learning he had to figure out a way to deal with it.
That's gibberish. Charlie couldn't stand him or his views. Whether there were some guys gaming in their parents' basement who happened to like both of them just because they like conflict doesn't make them the kind of people with whom the GOP should be associated. They will cost us far more votes than they gain.
And regardless of the effect on votes, treating those views as anything other than abhorrent is just morally wrong.
It’s a sad fact that throughout history, right-wing movements tend to get infiltrated by anti-semites.
A classic example happened in the 1930s with Oswald Mosley. When he started the British Union of Fascists, it was modeled after Mussolini, who before Hitler came to power, was not anti-semitic. But over time, the anti-semites, folks like William Joyce (Lord Haw Haw) started to take control of the movement, and forced Mosley to go along with it.
Any movement on the right, always has to be on guard, because the anti-semites will always try to burrow into it.

I’ll confess I don’t know the first thing about Nick Fuentes - I assume he’s a “bad faith” actor as Charlie Kirk describes him. I’m not defending Fuentes - I ‘ll assume he’s a liar and doesn’t deserve to be given a platform.
But note that that’s Kirk’s test: whether or not he’s a liar and a “bad faith actor” - not whether he disagrees with the consensus. Apparently Charlie did not consider Tucker Carlson a bad faith actor - as he willingly engaged with him quite often - right up until his death.
I find myself in total disagreement with you on just about everything.
However—I will never accuse you of being immoral or call you names.
I view those as honest disagreements.
Don’t be especially troubled that the right wing gets infiltrated by anti-semites, because the left wing is loaded with anti-semites.

Tucker Carlson is "America First", while his critics all seem to put the interests of Israel over America. These are necessarily contradictory positions. These attacks against Tucker Carlson aren't a battle fir the future of the MAGA movement, they are actually a battle to destroy MAGA by the Neocons for control of the Republican Party.

I am puzzled as to why people refuse to let it go. I don’t know why Carlson did it; I did not watch it, and, percentage wise, very few people have seen it but the deluge of critcism far outweighs any viewship.
I keep asking, where is all the outrage over how many women were raped today, how many illegals murdered someone today, how many people died from on-purposed pills laced with fentanyl, etc.? That interview did did not redirect one electron in this whole universe.
