The Trump administration plans to claw back more than $1 billion in federal funds being spent on Medicaid for illegal immigrants in blue states.
A preliminary audit from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) found that California, Washington, D.C., Colorado, Washington, Illinois and Oregon had misused $1,351,204,127 on healthcare for illegal aliens during the past few years.
While using federal Medicaid dollars for this purpose is prohibited, Democrat leaders are using loopholes in federal laws to use funds for emergency treatment of patients regardless of their immigration status.
According to the CMS, California was responsible for a sizable amount of the abuse of funds, paying over $1 billion on healthcare for illegal aliens.
Illinois spent the second-highest amount ($30 million) followed by Oregon ($5.5 million).
"Protecting Medicaid from waste, fraud and abuse isn’t optional. It’s the law. Every dollar misspent on illegal healthcare spending is a dollar taken from vulnerable Americans," CMS spokesperson Emily Hilliard told Fox News Digital.
"Federal law forbids using Medicaid funds for illegal immigrants, yet several Democrat-led states did it anyway. The Trump administration won’t tolerate it. CMS is auditing aggressively, recovering every dollar and holding states accountable."

Who signed off allowing thus to happen? Follow the money and and the paper trail. Indict everyone in the loop.
Don't get me wrong: I don't think the latter are legal citizens, but legally, that is up for consideration before the SCOTUS. Morally is another matter once their parents are here. I just don't think it a simple matter and don't have good answers other than to deport them once the kid is out of immediate jeopardy.

My apparently nice neighbors from Ukraine have plenty of money, bought a new SUV, flew back to Ukraine to see their daughter and cat. AND they get free rent, Shop at most expensive grocery store in the neighborhoo, plus they show up at Food Bank where poor people go to get food.
Another UKE couple here is even worse. Have two SUVs, and she speaks good English, has a job at the local hospital. Food Bank customers too.
They are not “illegals” but are swindling the system too.
It is simple. It’s just not easy.

Simple in principle, but not in execution (my wife is an advanced practice nurse in a County NICU in California).

I suspect this is equivalent to what I said, but realize that it's really easy to blow a million in the process. A week at Stanford, UCSF, or UCLA NICU doesn't come cheap. A "23-weeker" can be there for a month before being transportable beyond locally. Judgment as to when or how "stable" they might be to survive the trip isn't at all easy and is obviously conflated with vested interests.
All I'm saying is that until the prospective parents are expelled, don't expect to save a lot of money.
