Gayle started out as a news person in the Hartford market. She was always pretty good.
But at 70...she is not talking to an important advertising cohort. We all need to recognize when it’s time for us to call it a day, put up our feet, and let the next generation of people take the reins.
She can do lots of other things. She ain’t dead.

There wasn't this much MSM handwringing when Dan Rather or Katie Couric were let go by CBS, and their gigs were more high-profile than Gayle King's.
