Terry Rozier obviously playing horribly. Is he fixing it? https://twitter.com/i/status/1981326188388790727
The rampant promotion and obvious affiliation of pro sports with betting has turned me away from them.
He had nothing to do with the sports betting. Most likely he was drawing poker players when he was in Detroit.
That’s why Pete Rose should never be in the HOF no matter how forgiving Tump is. Being forgiving of something like that is virtue signaling. Costs them nothing the next time it comes up

Pete Rose’s betting did not impact the outcome of a single baseball game. He overwhelmingly bet on games he was not involved in. The bookie who claimed he bet on a handful of Reds games said he bet on his own team to win. By contrast, the steroids gang, who are HOF eligible, impacted the outcome of every game they played in.
“I’ve noticed how obvious it is this season in the NFL”

For many years now I’ve seen nfl wide receivers drop passes I could have easily caught when I played 9th grade junior high football.

There’s NO WAY a professional athlete making millions is that bad........NO WAY.
tip of iceberg. $150 BILLION market.
That from before negro players were in the major leagues.
Not saying what the White Sox players did back then was right, but those were different times, when ball players weren’t paid very much. They really didn’t start making big money until the Cardinals Curt Flood helped bring about free agency to players. Before then many players held second jobs to make ends meet. Players today don’t have that excuse.
“Follow the money.”
Wow you’re right . Most have no idea that ball players, in all sports, had off season jobs. My uncle worked in insurance with a company in San Francisco. One of his co workers was NY Giants QB Y A Tittle. Tittle who was only behind Johnny Unitas as the NFL ‘s best QB was selling business insurance from January to June.
I’m with you. I have no use for it at all. College Hoops are great, though.
“... the weak link in protecting NBA games from gambling hanky-panky is the referees.”
Bingo! B-ball is one of the few sports where the refs think the crowd came to see them, not a contest. I expect to soon occasionally see a ref doing a ‘look-at-me’ dance after making a call that turns the tide of the game ... kinda like in the NFL where periodically several members of a team all run down to the end zone and perform a short, very choreographed routine.
I thought the NFL was going to call delay of game on that stuff ...
What, you mean betting will introduce illegal behavior?
I think maybe they concluded “hey, if I can make some cash, so what?
Right, so Pete Rose couldn’t get into the Baseball Hall of Fame because he bet on baseball, but it’s perfectly OK for every sports broadcast now to be sponsored by sports betting companies. Gambling is a sickness, and it’s immoral in general. This is part of a larger societal problem.
It's TRUE!... "the LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of EVIL"
Mob faction in-fighting?
I recall that Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, and Jim Palmer all sold men’s suits. Billy Gardener, player and long-time coach and manager, was a meat salesman. Lived to 96.
Nowadays betting apps are advertised on mlb.com. Can’t watch or listen to a game without hearing a bunch of Fanduel ads.
Looking forward to some college hoops, too..
