There is no F.D.A.-approved testosterone product for women. Insurance won’t cover it. Many doctors won’t prescribe it. It’s become a cultural phenomenon.
Spend enough time speaking to women who are taking testosterone — specifically, in very high doses — and you start to notice that they sound messianic. They’re often talking fast and intensely; they’re amped up; they’re describing what they clearly consider a miracle drug; and they have no intention of lowering their dose, despite the unknown risks or some problems with facial hair. After all, how can they worry about facial hair when they feel so alive? It’s nothing they can’t take care of with a quick waxing, which they now have the energy to do at the end of the day — right after they prepare a high-protein dinner for their family and before they put the finishing touches on their spreadsheets, close their laptops and light a few mood candles for the sex that they know will be great, maybe even better than the sex they had last night, even though they’re a day older.
“It’s changed my marriage,” Jessica Medina, a 41-year-old marketing consultant in Orange County, Calif., told me. With four kids in the house, and sex happening six times a week (up from “How about never?” pre-testosterone), she had to put a lock on the bedroom door. She and her husband had attended a “marriage growth” group at church for years, but it took testosterone for their relationship to be, as she put it, “100 times closer.” She was a little less emotional, a little less sentimental than she used to be, but she didn’t have time for that kind of thing, anyway. “It’s more like: Get stuff done, handle business, work out,” she said. “In order to do all that and still have...”

A woman goes to the doctor for testosterone. He warns her about all the dangers and side effects but she is very demanding. So he prescribes her a high dose of ‘T’ and instructs her to call him if there are side effects.
A week later she calls him, all full of vim and vigor and praising what ‘T’ has done for her. Dr. asks about side effects and she says “my voice is a little bit lower”. He says that’s to be expected at that dosage and asks if any other side effects.
“Well, I’m starting to grow hair on my chest.”
Doctor: “Hmmm... that’s a bit concerning. How far down does it go?”
Woman: “All the way down to my testicles.”
“Result: they’re decanted as freemartins—structurally quite normal (except, he had to admit, that they do have just the slightest tendency to grow beards), but sterile. Guaranteed sterile.”
The older I get, the more I appreciate women as women. Not just my wife (though that’s where it starts), and a lot of the little things that men like to complain about, and a dozen little frustrations, especially since women themselves are frustrated and annoyed by many things men do as well. In the end, life is better with them as women.
The cure for the Karen. Testosterone in women just creates more GOP voters.

When I gave birth to my last child, a son, I was just shy of 40 years old.
My body went into overdrive producing testosterone during my pregnancy and it was amazing. My mental acuity was heightened, my energy level was up, and my libido...I went from a crockpot in the bedroom to a microwave and wanted sex all the time.
My husband did not mind one bit.
Then again, my hormone production all was natural.
During menopause, I took testosterone as well in low doses prescribed by the doctor. It truly helped with stamina and leveled me out; no more crazy mood swings.
Thankfully, no facial hair or any other negative effects.
Of course, anything like this should be taken under the supervision of a competent doctor (hard to find non-woke doctors these days).

For me, the entertainment value in this commercial was off the charts.
Full Disclosure: In the weeks after the Gillette Toxic Masculinity Campaign, I was casting about for someone else to buy razors from. I considered Harry's Razors, but saw some things that made me think they weren't any better than Gillette.
I had been using Gillette products for decades and wrote a letter to the CEO of Gillette, I was that fully disenchanted with the company.
When I saw this commercial, I did't care that it may have been 100% marketing. I thought "Any company that makes a commercial like this deserves my business."
And I think it is a better razor than Gillette's.
I hope this isn’t the start of another crazy thing that will dominate the next 50 years by taking females from the last 50 years of female crazy to a new form of female crazy that totally restructures society for the next 50 years.
