The male flight attendant had just arrived at Atlanta Airport and was in his uniform when he began accusing the female gate agent of displaying unprofessionalism and being 'ghetto.'
As the pair walk through the terminal, he says: 'This is ridiculous. This is the worst airport, and y'all make Southwest look horrible.
'That customer service is ridiculous.'
As the woman veers away from him and walks toward the gate, the Delta employee follows behind her, rolling his suitcase after her as he adds: 'It's ghetto.
'That's because it's Atlanta, y'all have no respect for customer service. Y'all need to clean it up, clean it up because I'm just trying to take a flight.
'I don't have to take Southwest, I can take Delta.'
The Southwest gate agent appears to ask the man to lower his tone, prompting him to ramp up his outrage.
'Get your hands out of my face,' he shouts. 'You are nothing. Where's your name tag at? You ghetto.'
The man went on to claim his colleagues has 'told me not to come here' and that he was instructed 'not to transfer here, because y'all are ridiculous and ghetto.'
'I don't do that kind of stuff,' he added. 'I don't have to take Southwest, I can take Delta.
'Atlanta gotta clean itself up, because this is supposed to be the black mecca, and y'all can't even carry yourself with class.'
The Southwest employee hit back, accusing him of calling one of her colleagues 'the B word.'
It is unclear what sparked the altercation.

the battle of the sexes
I knew before I looked that they both had to be black; otherwise the man would have been doxed and arrested.
Black guy seems right to me.
Good for him for calling it out. I can’t say I’d have bothered. Just made sure I’d avoid it.
More black people need to tell other black people to stop being ghetto.
Flown SouthWest from/to Atlanta. The guy is not wrong. Worst service ever.
That’s because he’s gay.
So an argument between two people in public is international news?
Must be a slow news day.
He’s right because he’s gay?
Just shows how important America is to the world.
Some of why so many are jealous of us, warts and all.
He’s civil because he’s gay
I am pretty sure he has lost his job.
I lived with multiple flight attendants when we were based in BOS- all from different airlines - and the DL flight attendants wouldn’t even post anything on their social media accounts about their job for fear of getting fired. One got a DL symbol on her big toe when getting a pedi and refused to post it.
That being said, a friend of mine made it all the way to the final portion of a flight attendant interview with a ‘certain airline’ and was the only one let go. She was the only white, straight person there. She was a 10 - had the perfect attitude, well dressed and gorgeous, had two college degrees - but was let go while the quite effeminate and non-whites were offered jobs.
So, maybe I don’t know. Maybe the airlines are accepting of the attitudes and mouthiness that goes with certain cultures for fear of lawsuits?
My opinion only.
Ah. Probably. Or gay because he’s civil.
I think your “opinion” is 100% correct and was well stated.
There was a time we called them “stewardesses” They were pretty, polite, charming and resourceful. Today, they are mostly hags and fags.
How many male flight attendants that you’ve seen didn’t set off your gaydar?
I have always been curious as to why airline personnel who serve passengers accepted the term “flight attendant.” They used to be called stewards and stewardesses, a term which connotes responsibility, trust and care. “Flight attendant,” on the other hand, has the same ring as “gas station attendant.”
Driving instead of flying is looking better and better.
I do think there is a movement afoot. I see a lot of black YouTubers calling out bad behavior. This is a problem the community will have to fix without our involvement. I do think some are trying. Because as Chris Rock pointed out 30 years ago, it's a problem and they know it.
