For Emma, what could have been a simple dollars-and-cents decision was far more complicated.
The choice before her: whether to accept a scholarship offering nearly free tuition to attend law school at Indiana University in her home state — or to pay $45,000 a year at the University of Minnesota.
A few weeks ago, she moved to Minneapolis to start law school, a choice largely shaped by the fact that Emma is trans. She has felt increasingly like Indiana's government doesn't welcome her.

I know an article from a month ago.
The flip side is tens of millions of NORMAL families don’t have to worry as much about the weirdo perverts, cross dressers, trannies and money-grubbing “doctors” coming for their kids.
Who are we going to most worry about? The 73 million kids under 18 who need to be protected? Or the 0.01% of the population that has real gender dysphoria?
Evidently, “Emma” is saying that the only people treated as females at the Hoosiers are women with real hooters.
The government should never be in the business of welcoming anyone.
Also, Trans is a mental illness, it is time to treat it as such and seek treatment for such people.
He is quite the whinny little faggot.
What does a government need to do to “accept” their “trans.”
Why is it this acceptance usually comes in the form of spending money?
Should they be able to live where they want? Should they be able to work where they want?
I guess. No one should be discriminated against for that stuff. But does it mean everyone has to “like” them? You cannot legislate people’s feelings.
LOL- i’m a conservative in the liberal craphole known as NY....all the “tolerant” and “accepting” people around here hate my guts (which i’m all for)...
New policies are making life harder for trans people “
Oh please, cry me a river.
“felt increasingly like Indiana’s government doesn’t welcome her”
Well, it IS all about feelings after all.
I’ve been plenty of places I didn’t feel welcome. I just either sucked it up or didn’t go there anymore.
trans fatigue has set in.....I really don’t give a crap about their faux plight.
Just like the homos, they want to be a protected class to get special treatment......F that.
The delusionals are free to be as delusional as they want, just don’t try to impose by force your delusions on the rest of society.
Trans delusions have always existed. They used to be called “transvestites” or cross dressers. Nobody bothered them and they left the rest of society alone. They knew what they were and so did society.
I have no problems going back to that.
Betcha $1000 i can tell he's a trans woman by the 5 o'clock shadow..
This tranny-promotion propaganda is the political gift that keeps on giving.
Keep it up, libs.
So he’s not just an idiot he’s crazy too
In a sane world the state would welcome they/them…to the state mental institution.
Well, by and large, I’ve learned Hoosiers are pretty conservative folks. Most don’t buy into this “trans” thing. So the cross dresser is pretty much right. He will feel much more “at home” in Tim Walz’ state.
Until two or three years ago, it was the law of the land that men could not enter women's bathrooms or change their sex on their birth certificate. So Emma has been living under those laws most of his/her life. They aren't a hardship. Indiana is simply cutting back on the excesses of the past two or three years.
There were two of these dudes at the DoD facility I worked at.....never had contact with either directly but heard many stories about how they both had their sensitivity meter turned all the way up. Any perceived slight and they would file a complaint.
Using the whole thing to retain leverage and play the victim card as much as possible.
A couple of restrooms had to be constructed just for those two mental cases to settle that issue.
A real PITA those 2 were. SMH
For balance NPR needs to do an article about all the female athletes who have lost scholarships to trans athletes and how that impacts their actual lives, not their feelings about being ‘accepted’.
It is mentally ill and should not be in law school anywhere.
