The President of El Salvador Just Banned Halloween Celebrations

Breaking across social media. Only in Spanish right now.
The President of El Salvador banned all pubic demonstration of Halloween. His justification is the name and culture of "El Salvador" which means, "The Saviour."
He stated that it is contrary to the El Salvadorian people and he will not allow demonstrations or celebrations of dark spirits. Rather, he will designate Halloween to be a celebration of "The Light" in keeping with Christian heritage of El Salvador.

Seems like an unfounded rumor.
I saw an AI video of the president of El Salvador talking about this, but it was ... an AI video.
I’d assume this is fake news, unless there is solid proof.

I’m reprising my COL Sanders costume this year. Pretty easy at 71: I bought the white suit two years ago, and grow out my goatee.
As a sidelight, it identifies the Indians making no effort to assimilate. I went to a couple of neighborhoods with my KFC bucket, handing out candy to the kids. Numerous parents asked me, “who are you?” SMDH.

LOL. My first encounter with a clothing optional beach was in Northern Germany, on the shores of the Baltic. My girlfriend teased me at my reticence to disrobe. Wasn’t long before I saw a guy who was 5’5” weighing 300+ pounds. At that point I said “eff it” and shed my trunks. Didn’t go into water, the Baltic is damn cold even in summer.

El Salvador is the place with the super strict prison full of cartel members and all types of felons. Its President is Nayib Bukele. He has his head on straight.
