Bettany Hughes just covered the mausoleum in her latest series: “The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.”

She did the series based on her book on the subject. I downloaded the series from an online torrent site. It's pretty recent, so perhaps it will show up on streaming sometime in the near future. The fourth season of her series "Treasures of the World" just aired the first episode in the UK a couple of nights ago.

There’s quite a lot (because it came out in 2025) regarding the broadcasts, in the form of interviews with her, podcasts and whatnot, also discussions with her of the book. I’ve enjoyed her presentations in the past. The first one I saw was “The Spartans”, which is excellent, and not just because she was wearing jeans she was poured into and got shot walking away in location shoots. 😊

I might have watched the same series. It was quite a while ago, and she was much younger and thinner back then. She's a pretty hefty lady now, and I wonder sometimes how she gets away with wearing some of those low-cut tops when she's in muslim countries. She never wears jeans or slacks of any kind, but mostly wears mid-calf length skirts with tops and scarves and dresses with scarves. She sometimes wears a longer jacket along with the other stuff. For several years now, she regularly wears a mid-calf length denim skirt with a split up the front. I thought for a while, that it was the only thing she owned. She wears it in every program. She has no qualms hiking up the skirt to get on the back of a motorcycle, or some other conveyance. I'm an old lady, and she's old enough to be my daughter, so I kind of cringe over the stuff she wears, and the stuff she does while wearing it...like climbing up ladders. I sure as well wouldn't be climbing a ladder while a man was below holding it steady. She's a great historian, but a terrible dresser.

Alice Roberts has a tendency to wear the same outfits too. She's a lot slimmer than Bettany, so wears more tight-fitting, stretchy leggings, because on a lot of her programs, she's visiting dig sites and gets down into the trenches, so her clothing is much more appropriate for what she's doing.

Is someone planning to rebuild it?

I doubt it. It was 12 stories tall. Just recreated on video.
