Amid H-1B tensions, two companies, T-Mobile and Molson Coors, have announced their newly elected CEOs—both of Indian origin. T-Mobile appointed Srinivasan Gopalan, and Molson Coors appointed Rahul Goyal as the next CEO.

“T-Mobile today announced that it has named current Chief Operating Officer Srini Gopalan as T-Mobile’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2025. Gopalan will assume the role from Mike Sievert, who has been appointed to a newly created management position at T-Mobile, Vice Chairman,” T-Mobile wrote in a statement.

In a LinkedIn post, Gopalan shared that he is “deeply honoured” to take on the role of CEO. Based in Bellevue, Washington, Gopalan completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, RK Puram. He then attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for higher studies.

“We’re pleased to announce Rahul Goyal as the next president and chief executive officer of Molson Coors Beverage Company, effective October 1, 2025,” Molson Coors Beverage Company wrote in a LinkedIn post. Reacting to it, Goyal posted, “I’m honored to take on the role of CEO of Molson Coors Beverage Company, leading the company I’ve been part of since 2001 towards its next chapter of growth.”

Of course, "over last March-us" has moved on. Here's an interesting observation about the whole H1-B news in the moment.

( Circa 400 thousand H1-B visas / 342 million population of US ) x 100 [ to express as percentage ] = 0.117 % H1-B as a percentage of US population

( Circa 400 thousand H1-B visas / 159.54 million total nonfarm jobs ) x 100 [ to express as percentage ] = 0.25 % H1-B as a percentage of total nonfarm jobs

Seems quite fine to charge big bucks for these visas, if and as President Trump is doing. Would also be quite fine to repeat the users / abusers of the B1-B program so as not to loose track of which companies are "in the spotlight."

It would only make sense for Coors if they made an IPA.

If they started as H-1’s, then they’re very likely illegal aliens if they never left and re-entered under legal processes. If they’re not, then this isn’t an issue.

T-Mobile has been crap for many years. I remember when my oldest son had T-Mobile...at least 20 years ago. The only time I could hear him clearly on a call was when he was in Paris. He lives two hours from me in NY State and service was always crap.

I don’t use T-Mobile or drink beer, so it’s a win-win for me.

Even Sprint was better until T-Mobile bought it.

"Even Sprint was better until T-Mobile bought it."

I've only ever used Verizon for my cell phone service. Been with them going on 30 years. I got rid of my Spectrum landline about 5 years ago. The only calls I ever got on it were spam calls, even with their call filters turned on. It was so bad, I turned the ringer off. The only reason I kept it was because they originally told me that my bill would be lower if I bundled phone, cable and internet together. When I got rid of it and the cable, I discovered that was all a bunch of hooey. The landline had actually made my bill higher.
