US anti-fascism expert blocked from flying to Spain at airport: Rutgers University professor who published book on antifa was informed at boarding gate that his trip was cancelled

A Rutgers University professor who taught a course on anti-fascism was blocked from leaving the US for Spain on Wednesday night, according to media reports, hours after Donald Trump hosted a White House roundtable highlighting the impact of antifa – or “anti-fascist” – far-left activists.

Mark Bray, an historian who published the 2017 book Antifa: the Anti-Fascist Handbook, and has taught courses on anti-fascism at the New Jersey university, was attempting to board a plane at Newark airport when he was informed at the boarding gate that the reservations for him and his family had been cancelled.

The professor, nicknamed “Dr Antifa” by a group of students, had said he was moving to Europe after receiving death threats. Turning Point USA activists have claimed he is a “financier” for the leftwing movement.

“‘Someone’ cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second,” Bray posted on Bluesky. “We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared’.”

A petition calling for his removal from the university had been launched in the weeks following the assassination of the Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. Bray’s home address was revealed on social media.

After Kirk’s assassination, the rightwing influencer Jack Posobiec called Bray a “domestic terrorist professor” on X. The Rutgers chapter of Turning Point USA then circulated a petition that accused the professor of being an “outspoken, well-known antifa member” and called for his dismissal.

Well, maybe he would be welcomed by Cuba or Venezuela.

They like his types in those places.

Communist governments tend to like Anti-First Amendment fascists so I am sure he would be welcomed with open arms.

He's not a just an author and professor, he's a financier for Antifa.

"Bray himself is a financial backer of this transnational antifa bail fund. According to a disclaimer in his handbook, “at the very least,” 50% of proceeds from Bray’s book are funneled to the International Anti-Fascist Defense Fund."

Better to cancel his passport AFTER he leaves. NOT a smart move to hold him in the USA.

Antifa expert at Rutgers University says he is moving to Spain because of death threats

https://apnews.com/article/antifa-rutgers-professor-conservatives-threats-6cfb50f3b7baf3d5e881971b283ed47e

Mark Bray, an assistant professor of history, said Thursday that he decided to make the move out of concern for his family’s safety after being falsely labeled as a member of antifa, a term used to describe far-left activist groups that oppose fascism.

“I do not have any affiliation with any antifa group and don’t plan to,” said Bray, who wrote the book “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook,” which documents the philosophy and tactics of militant anti-fascist movements in the U.S. and around the world. He has taught courses on anti-fascism and terrorism at the university since 2019.

Although Bray says he is not a member of any antifa groups, which conservatives argue are responsible for political violence, he has donated half of the proceeds from his book to a legal-defense fund for people arrested while protesting fascism.

It’s smart to keep him here to get intel out of him. Or turn him into an asset.

From Google, he is more of an Antifa propagandist and ideologue, writing and publishing Antifa handbooks, etc.
Kind of Antifa’s own Goebbels.
It is unclear how much money he donated to Antifa, but surely, he is one of the leaders.
I think, the FBI will have some questions.

That’s what happens when you go on social media and make it known you are fleeing the country. Adjunct professor is a dumbass. I’m reminded what the great sage Tuco once said.

Running doesn’t look good either.

Again, I say Thank you, Mr. President.

One of the happist days in history was when the Anti-Fascist Protection Rampart was broken open and then torn down. Yes, that’s the official name of the Berlin Wall (in German: Antifaschistischer Schutzwall). So whenever you hear “anti-fascist” just translate it to “communist prison”.
