the day is still young....
>> The Rapture is upon us, according to TikTokers
Neatly encapsulating the ignorance and insanity of the times in a single phrase brought to you by NYT, a major player in the insanity...
LORD have mercy.
The rapture occurred in 70 AD as the “faithful Jews” who had died before the sacrifice of Jesus was available were resurrected into Heaven to take part in the Wedding Feast celebration of Jesus and his new bride, the Church. It was not for us - we live this side of Jesus’ sacrifice. That said, Jesus will come again, but it will not be the disorder described in many books of fiction describing a “modern” rapture.
Today or “soon”, the Rapturists are always wrong. Jesus will come when he comes and no man knows the hour so there is no use checking up the signs in the Bible matching the news— no matter if is 1840, 1870, 1917, 1945; 1963, 1988, 1999 2025 (all wrong predictions). We should stop sign watching and be ready ALL THE TIME.
The rapture is happening in slow motion to weed out the faithful from the false repenters.
Anyway, I'm glad some of your are still here.
I stopped taking any of those Apocalypse NOW rumors seriously, about 25 years ago. I figure, when it’s my turn, it’s my turn.
Guess I didn’t make the first cut!
Maybe tomorrow
It’s probably going to happen right before the Kimmel show comes back on air tonite... to save us all from the horrid spectacle (sarc).
Pretty normal day for me, so far.
I still wonder how far the “foreseeable future” is.
Didn’t the people who made this prediction gather on a hill in Missouri a few times already?
The Rapture doctrine is un-Biblical.
My Left Behind itches...
Some day I will be with the Lord.
It may come because my body gives out.
It may come because His enemies desire my death.
It may come because I suffer a fatal injury.
It may come because my work is done and He wants me home.
It may come because He is in the clouds, with all His angels with him, and the whole world seeing Him.
“I am content! Lord, set me ever free,
and wake me from the dead
that I may rise forevermore to be
with you, my living head.
The chains that hold my body, sever;
then shall my soul rejoice forever.
I am content! I am content!”
