"Something's wrong. I know I shouldn't do this. I'm risking an awful lot to go up against this FBI, the MAGA FBI. Something's very wrong with what I just heard. I mean, I watched it. I was hoping that they had caught the bastard who shot Charlie. So we saw a video of a person jumping off the roof. It looked very legitimate to me. However, there was no rifle in his hand.
"Now, the Mauser does not break down very easily. Incidentally, for those of you who know weapons, something's wrong with the whole thing. They're trying to claim he removed the barrel from the Mauser and fit the receiver and stock in his backpack and barrel in his pants, like, all in two seconds. It is not easy to remove a Mauser barrel or index it after reinstalling and remain accurate.

And, there's a good chance you won't. And, if you do, it won't be the gun that killed Kirk.
Mausers have also been customised for a very long time, a customized take-down variation is not that hard to do.
A stretch limo is also doable. But, I doubt you'll see a college student driving one to school.
That guy ran across that roof like a rabbit. He wasn't carrying a 42" to 48" gun weighing 9 or 10 pounds in his pants or his backpack. At two places in the video, I think I can see him holding a 14" to 16" barrel AR or M4 by the pistol grip. If they found an old bolt-action Mauser in the woods, it was planted there.
Also, they say they found the single fired round still in the chamber. From all of my MANY years shooting bolt-action rifles, the next sub-conscious move I make after pulling the trigger is to grab the bolt and chamber a fresh round in case I missed my target with the first, and/or I needed a backup shot. So, I guess that blows the "experienced" sniper theory.
The powers-that-be are playing the masses like a fiddle, and it's working. I wonder why Patel was strangely silent during the "press conference?" He knows something, and he's not talking, or he's not happy with it.
Yeah that’s right. Feels like radio silence on details as we wait.
I read there was a spent shell in it.
Ballistics may nullify your theory.
“If I was putting that much money into a rifle, it’d definitely be getting wood furniture.”
I recall seeing in the early hours after the assassination a photo of a wood stock bolt-action rifle that was alleged to be the assassin’s weapon, but have not been able to locate the photo again.
I have a Mauser rifle and it was not designed to be broke down in the field. All those who say so are dead wrong. And that pathetic video they showed yesterday of the guy sliding off the roof. Are they really that stupid to believe we believe that was supposed the killer coming down off the roof with no rifle. I didn’t even see the guy running into a wooded area. These guys who are supposed to be the best LE we have are getting worse with each assassination.
It isn’t a Mauser.
His feet looked to be ten feet off the ground when he let go . I suppose he was completely crazed.
Yes, that was a leg breaker jump. That is a two story he hung and jumped from.
I saw a TV news video that said Charlie was about to answer a question from someone in the crowd on gun ownership. Another message perhaps, or were they just spewing bull??
“I think I can see him holding a 14” to 16” barrel AR or M4.”
Yes it was a shorter rifle. But there were “tanker” model Mausers made in 30-06. I have one distributed by Mitchell Manufacturing and they are real short, about the same as an AR.
But like you guys point out. I have yet to see a picture of the rifle they found.
His backpack is on his back and he is carrying something. A rifle? I’m not sure, but you would think he would have just dropped the rifle. It was just worthless baggage. He was going to leave it behind anyway. (?)
He disguised it to look like curtain rods….
Yeah, right.

“His backpack is on his back and he is carrying something. A rifle?”
Yep, that is what I saw too. It is a rifle. I’m not even sure they actually found a rifle in the woods. Can’t trust them.
Leaving it on the roof? Leaving it in the woods? Why do the second when you could have done the first?
Funny, Mr. GG2 and I were just discussing this. You don’t just break down a rifle in 30 seconds. We are leery of this really being the shooter. And my question is was the rifle assembled or in pieces when it was found in the woods?
When Charlie was hit, his arms almost immediately came up into the position that usually indicates brain damage or severe concussion.
I saw a close video of him getting shot and specifically looked for the bullet to exit. I didn’t see any sign of it exiting, and my theory is that it hit his spine and deflected upward into his brain.
I’ve seen no mention that they recovered the bullet, or that ballistic matching has been done or attempted with the rifle they found in the woods.
They said it was a model 24. That's a big gun.
