Billionaire fashion designer Giorgio Armani dead at 91

Iconic fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91, the Armani Group confirmed on Thursday.

"With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani," a statement posted on Instagram by several Armani Group-affiliated accounts read. The statement said that the designer was "surrounded by his loved ones" when he passed.

You wouldn’t know that he was close to 90 just by looking at him.

He wanted to “dress” Melania Trump - when other fashion houses refused:

“Giorgio Armani expressed willingness to dress Melania Trump, stating it would be part of his job to dress a beautiful woman if she asked.

When I used to wear suits, I loved Armani silk ties. Perfect for the Windsor Knot.

I still wear Acqua di Gio Profondo cologne to this day.
