I must admit that I am surprised by the events as depicted. I had thought that Modi was intent on changing the Indian policy that is Brazil like in opposing imports.

I am thus plagued with the belief that Modi is basically a fence sitter. He is unable to move forward because of an intense strong grasp on the past. I’m want to believe that there are powerful internal conservative forces antithical to Modi’s efforts to become a leader in world trade.

India does have very strong businesses and industries that are unable to achieve full potential as a result of internal political opposition.

I believe thqt Modi was just putting on a show. Compared to India, Russia is trivial in potential power on the world stage.
