After a string of losses, shares of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (NASDAQ:CBRL) are back in the green after President Trump weighed in on the logo controversy that has pressured the stock.
In a post on Trust Social, Trump encouraged the company to restore its old logo, admit a mistake, and manage the company “better than ever before.”
“They got a billion dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity,” the president posted.
To distance the company from its rustic identity and appeal to a wider demographic, Cracker Barrel (NASDAQ:CBRL) embarked on a rebranding campaign, eliminating “old country store” and redesigning its logo to a more streamlined aesthetic that was roundly criticized by loyal customers and reignited controversy similar to campaigns by Target (TGT) and Bud Light (BUD).
“This year we even unveiled a brand-new logo! Rather than just showing one person, we wanted to feature lots of people. The idea was to celebrate the diversity of all our guests with a logo that represented our continued passion for pleasing people of all races, colors, and genders,” the company said on its website.
The change angered customers and sent shares spiraling lower, fueling a 7-day losing streak.

Simple solution to Crackers problem is to fire Julies’ a$$ and revert back to the traditional logo. Julie gets wokie every 28 days, she can’t help it.
The phrase “dead cat bounce” is relevant here.
Unless their logo is distasteful, the logo should have nothing to do with the service, food, and cleanliness of the restaurants. If you like their facilities, then changing the logo makes absolutely no difference in their product.
This is just another misdirection by the politicians to deter their actions so they can get away with them by keeping you occupied with stupidity. And the media is “whoring” themselves out for the effort.
This is not a new restaurant business and most likely the servers, cooks, or anyone attached to the restaurant chain are still there doing the same job they were doing before the idiocy started. And people who are screaming about this should should take a real hard look at what they are doing and be embarrassed.

CBRL is up an additional 7.07% in after hours trading... Good for them...
Go WOKE - Go BROKE. They took Trump's advice and cleaned up their act. The original logo stays the same. If they're really smart they'll fire the bimbo who came up with this crap.
They have their old logo back, but they also still have the fundamental problem they were trying to solve with a makeover: eroding customer base.

Cracker Barrel said Tuesday that after listening to its customers, it will scrap its new logo and keep the “Old Timer” in place.
“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel,” the restaurant chain said in a statement to FOX Business. “We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family.”
“As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon,” the restaurant chain added.
Cracker Barrel found itself at odds with its fans after removing “Uncle Herschel” from its logo. The company unveiled its revamped text-only design, sparking backlash and sinking its stock price.
The original 1969 logo was also text-only, but the 1977 addition of the now-iconic imagery became a staple of its branding.
