President Donald Trump on Monday boasted about the government’s new stake in Intel and said he’s determined to do similar deals.
“I will make deals like that for our Country all day long,” the president posted on Truth Social.
Trump added that “stupid people” are upset with a move that he said will bring more money and jobs to the U.S.

What will Democrats make of this arrangement when they return to power? Beto “Drive it like you stole it” O’Rourke may have some ideas....
The article quotes Trump saying "stupid people" with no further quoted context.
Do you have the full quote?
The Japanese government has done the same thing. Now they have a bunch of zombie companies they can’t do anything about because the government owns them. This is bad.
Does anyone think Boeing is a good company? I beg to differ. It’s a shell of what it once was and an ugly shell at that. That’s because it’s our National Airplane Company and it can’t be allowed to fail. I was angry that Boeing is in every defense mutual fund. I asked my adviser to find one that didn’t have Boeing. He reported it was in all of them. All he could do is offer the fund with the least amount of Boeing. The same will be true about other companies the government owns.
No. Conservatives are aloud to be upset with this and many are it seems
Full nationalization
This is a good example of why Trump is not a Conservative.
“Hear that? Your stupid if you don’t like it. He’s getting more caustic...”

I think maybe, just maybe, you’re (notice the you’re and how it is used) the one who is getting more caustic, RandFan.
Here’s President Trump’s actual quote:
I PAID ZERO FOR INTEL, IT IS WORTH APPROXIMATELY 11 BILLION DOLLARS. All goes to the USA. Why are “stupid” people unhappy with that? I will make deals like that for our Country all day long. I will also help those companies that make such lucrative deals with the United States States. I love seeing their stock price go up, making the USA RICHER, AND RICHER. More jobs for America!!! Who would not want to make deals like that?

Bad idea.

That's fine. So then why confuse the issue by reacting to CNBC's quote of Trump saying "stupid people", out of context.
I would not make deals like that.
Moral Risk.
Look it up.
Government is not a reliably good steward of private investments. Politics always eventually come into play, at the expense of shareholders like me and you.
Did congress specifically allocate funds for this?
Hear that? Your stupid if you don’t like it. He’s getting more caustic...
Trump, more that most everyone, should know the government can’t be trusted, post his presidency, to be the steward for the USA that he is.

I don’t believe President Trump ever claimed to be a conservative. Much less ever said conservatives weren’t allowed (notice the “allowed” and how it is used) to be upset. He simply asked why “stupid” people were unhappy with that.
The deal converted the Biden grants into equity and did not come with governance rights (Nonvoting) in Intel.
They’re going to invest $100 Billion in US manufacturing.
Amazing! The art of the deal!
Congratulations, USA!
Taking government stakes in failing companies isn’t a good thing.

I guess you liked it better when Biden had promised that money with nothing except DEI hiring promised in return?
Nope. I prefer an actual conservative approach.
