Censorship-mad UK is going after US Tech companies.
There’s an ongoing struggle in the Donald J. Trump administration to keep UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s censorship push from encroaching in US citizens’ liberties.

BBC reported:
“According to Preston Byrne, managing partner of law firm Byrne & Storm, Ofcom has provisionally decided to impose a £20,000 fine ‘with daily penalties thereafter’ for as long as the site fails to comply with its request.
‘Ofcom’s notices create no legal obligations in the United States’, he told the BBC, adding he believed the regulator’s investigation was part of an ‘illegal campaign of harassment’ against US tech firms.”

Didn’t we go to war with some imbeciles once before?
In the last administration this censorship would have been aided and abetted by the DOJ.
FU UK
Nevermind. Just family history.
UK can just start blocking certain sites nationally if they like, just as done in Turkie and North Korea.
I foresee a tariff increase in the King’s near future.
“American businesses do not surrender their First Amendment rights because a foreign bureaucrat sends them an email.
Under settled principles of US law, American courts will not enforce foreign penal fines or censorship codes.
If necessary, we will seek appropriate relief in US federal court to confirm these principles.”
I would only add something like this: 'It's regrettable that your citizens do not enjoy the kind of free expression of conscience that we do in the United States. That said, while you have our pity, you will not have our compliance.'
Twice. The second time had to do with the Brits impressing US citizens to serve in their navy.
In fact, two songs have been written about that second war. The second song is “The Battle of New Orleans.” The first song has had greater impact, “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Yup-

Name me ONE of the first Ten Amendments, of our “unalienable rights,” which has not been abridged by our bureaucracy?

Government is like a living organism.
It wants to grow, spread out, and reproduce.
Expanding government is the tool politicians use to sell themselves.
The politician is always looking for some crisis to fix.
—Conservatives: Public safety, national security, decency (imposing morality).
—Liberals: Social safety net, environment, egalitarianism.
In the end, they both do the same thing - slowly grow government in scope, manpower and budget.
Will America wake up and realize that this is just another form of tyranny imposed by a technocracy instead of a king or despot?
Exactly! That is the way to do it. IF they want censorship they can enforce it on their citizens.
This has a simple resolution: Tell the British governmental homos and Muslims to go to hell.
Re “…in the last administration “
The Adults are in charge now… and we’re AMERICAN.
Kier Stasi’s UK police state..

islam is a totalitarian death cult founded by a child rapist.
“Name me ONE of the first Ten Amendments, of our “unalienable rights,” which has not been abridged by our bureaucracy?”
The Third Amendment. Quartering really pissed off the FFs as that amendment was right after the RKBA.
If I were running 4Chan, I would respond that we are imposing double whatever fine on OFCOM that OFCOM imposes on us.
When the scoff that you have no authority to do so, tell them they don’t either.....”so I guess you’ll just have to suck it - won’t you?”
Yep. And the precedent set by one side becomes a tool for the other side when it is their turn in power. Can’t you just imagine the left’s use of presidential declarations of emergency when it is on the other foot?
