The practice facility office of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was hit with a bullet, penetrating the glass while he was inside working in 2024, according to a report Wednesday night from the Kansas City Star.
Reid, 67, wasn’t hurt in the incident, said Kansas City Police Department spokesperson Capt. Jake Becchina while speaking with the outlet.
Per the Star, the shooting took place outside of the Chiefs team facility in Kansas City, hit Reid’s office by going through glass and then got stuck into a wall around 15 feet from Reid. It happened May 4, 2024 just after midnight.
According to sources who provided information to the Kansas City Star, Reid’s office was later installed with bulletproof glass to protect the head coach.
Altogether, the three-story facility was hit that night with three gunshots, per the Star. The locations were: 1. above Reid’s office, 2. the third floor and 3. an air-conditioning unit. No one was struck by any of the shots.
Becchina stated to the Star that no one has been arrested as of yet, with the case being branded as an aggravated assault “because the building was occupied at the time of the bullet coming through the window.”
The KCPD spokesperson went on to say “there is no indication this was a targeted incident at any person or organization.”
Maybe more gay cheerleaders would solve the problem.
The gang banger with the Glock throwing stray rounds was likely one of Andy Reid’s players.
They all land somewhere....
Reminds me of a scene out of “The Replacements” film starring Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves..........
“...with the case being branded as an aggravated assault “because the building was occupied at the time of the bullet coming through the window.””
Interesting word choice.
Or maybe not.
Is the author trying to suggest that the as-yet-unidentified shooter is being overcharged?
“Hey, can’t a guy recklessly let a few bullets fly without having the book thrown at him?”
It’s only 3 miles from South Blue Valley and East Community neighborhoods, the worst areas of KC.
Probably came from there.
Some referee was upset because he didn’t get his cut?
Just a stray bullet from the ‘hood..................
But THREE stray bullets, all in one building?
And relevant news today because? Not when it happened?

Yep.

Back in the 90s my wife was complaining about a water stain in her closet ceiling of the house we lived in at the time, so I went into the attic to investigate and discovered a small shaft of light coming through the roof.
There happened to be a main A/C supply duct right underneath with a hole in it as well.
Suspecting what it was I went on the roof and sure enough, the hole was just big enough to get the tip of my pinkey in.
That round still had enough velocity to go into the ac duct after going through a shingle, sheathing and 1/2” OSB......if it would have hit someone instead of my roof it could have killed ‘em dead as a door nail.
Local cops took down a guy in a hail of bullets, years ago. The grocery store that was across the street sat a bit lower than the parking lot where the shooting occurred. The bullet(s?) had to travel across one of the busiest streets in town, over another parking lot, and across the sidewalk in front of the store to lodge in the watermelon display. At least one of them did.

Who are the chefs? Great googly moogly.
😁.......................
Maybe it was one of Andy’s wide receivers, whose playing time was reduced because he became confused and lined up offsides and then wanted a warning from the ref.
