Disney has always prided itself on being the studio of dreams, but sometimes those dreams turn into costly nightmares.
That’s exactly what happened with Rachel Zegler’s Snow White (2025), a film that was supposed to be a triumphant reimagining of the company’s first full-length animated classic. Instead, it became one of Disney’s most expensive failures, leaving the studio with little choice but to quietly drop the project from its future plans and much more.

There were so many reasons why this movie bombed. Woke was one of them. Rachel Zegler being incredibly abrasive is another. Gal Godot not being a good actor is another. CGI dwarfs is another. It amazes me that Disney is so corrupted that it didn’t see this coming a mile away.

I think I found validation from him when I watched the “Puss in Boots” animated feature, and found myself thinking that it was not woke, and actually, at a fundamental level, was conservatively themed.
That was a surprise to me, because it generally is not something I either see or expect in an animated feature like that.
I saw that The Critical Drinker had done a review, so when I watched his review, I wa surprised to see that he saw the movie in much the same way that I did.
In watching other reviews after that, I realized that he and I tended to react the same way in many cases, and not only was the validation nice, if I didn’t see a movie, he’s analysis was a valuable indicator of whether I, as a conservative, might enjoy it.
Far better than the old Siskel and Ebert dumbasses.

Disney's stupid, irresponsible, $115 million failure is a metaphor for wokism itself and where it will deliver the world.
It was not merely an attempt to modernize. It was a willing surrender to the Decadence of Western Civilization.
Decades ago, Disney tried to build a theme park in northern Virginia. Using underhanded techniques, such as buying small pieces of properties thru different real estate companies under shell names and the like, mostly to keep costs down until they had all the properties and permits lined up, the locals had no idea what was going on for quite a while. Good reason for this! The park site was being built on what many considered hallowed ground of a civil war battlefield.
When the news broke, pushback was intense. One of their biggest enemies was a group in Fauquier County. Disney lost the battle for the Virgina park and shortly after, Beauty and the Beast came out with the bad guy being ‘Lord Farquhar’.
Many saw a petty payback in Disney’s naming of the bad guy something so close to ‘Lord Fauquier’, the fellow the after whom their nemesis county was named.
Kids. When I was a child I used to watch the test pattern on our black and white, 3 channel tv. They'll watch anything.

In this particular case, they suffer from a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
