Pentagon says US will play a minimal role in Ukraine’s security guarantee

Meetings between NATO and U.S. defense officials left allies concerned that President Donald Trump would leave Europe to ensure a lasting peace in the war-scarred country.

“There’s the dawning reality that this will be Europe making this happen on the ground,” said a NATO diplomat who was briefed on the talks. “The U.S. is not fully committed to anything.”

The meetings — which occurred days after Trump and European leaders met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House in a sign of unity — underscore the massive task ahead for allies as they weigh plans to send a peacekeeping force to Ukraine and buy more American-made arms for Kyiv.

Trump on Monday said he was ready to send U.S. troops to Ukraine. But he backtracked on Tuesday, suggesting instead that he was open to providing air support for European troops there.

“I don’t know where that leaves us,” said one of the European officials. “Pretty much back to where we were in the spring with the coalition of the willing.”

U.S. allies in Europe appear skeptical of Colby, who POLITICO reported in June has forged a close alliance with Caine.

Colby conducted a review of U.S. munitions stockpiles this year that led Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in July to briefly freeze American military assistance to Ukraine. And he has long pushed for European allies to do more to defend the continent against Russia. His presence in the talks could signify a more difficult road for Europe to lock down American security support.

“Under Secretary Colby attended last night’s meeting to relay President Trump’s and Secretary Hegseth’s guidance related to security guarantees for Ukraine as we support the president’s historic efforts to end this tragic conflict,” Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson said in a statement...

Agreements are two way streets.

Ukraine has betrayed the United States in every way imaginable. Where was Zelensky's memory when Trump asked him to investigate Burisma? Where was his conscience when he helped the Deep STate defraud America? Zelensky tried to provoke WWIII by falsely claiming, and continuing to claim, a Ukrainian air defense missile that landed in Poland was actually launched by Russia. Zelensky asked for pre-emptive strikes on Russia. The fraud, money laundering, graft and crime center for the US known as Ukraine has never kept any promise worth recalling ever since the Deep STate overthrew it in 2014.

President Trump has acknowledged that the U.S. State Department participated in the overthrow of Ukraine. CIA's Victoria Nuland selected Ukraine's government, and Ukraine continues to be controlled to this day.

Had Ukraine remained in the hands of Ukrainian citizens, we could consider 'promises'. But, the Ukraine is under control of the Deep State which wants the US to fight Russia. If Ukraine had not given up its nuclear arsenal via Budapest, the CIA/Deep State globalists would have already started WWIII and threatened freedom around the world.

Trump may have rolled that snowball of peace down the hill. It’s up to the euroweenies to keep it going.

President Trump is currently training the troops of the side we support, in his first term he was training the Ukrainians with troops inside of Ukraine, this term he is training them outside of Ukraine.

The whole of Europe's involvement was based on the CONTINUED involvement of the USA.

We can act as the Town Crier...It's November 1st in Ukraine and all is well. Etc etc

The big picture was that they would never be a nuclear power.
The other stuff is diplomatic banter.

Just imagine Russia or China (or any European chihuahua) giving a “security guarantee” to Mexico against the United States. Sorry folks, but Ukraine would be wise to conduct itself with regard for its stronger neighbor, because its adventures are not worth one American life. The uglier secret is that we’re not protecting Ukraine, but the vast business interests that American politicians and businesses placed with the corrupt Kiev regime. America has no business messing around on Russia’s borders.

“There’s the dawning reality that this will be Europe making this happen on the ground,” said a NATO diplomat who was briefed on the talks. “The U.S. is not fully committed to anything.”

In effect, Trump has walked away.

Cut off funding of weaponry, after Monday NIXED further sanctions, and to nobody's surprise other than the Euroweenies NIXED US ground troops as peacekeepers.

As far as the agreement goes, Trump understands the ball is in Zelensky's and the Euroweenies court.

He gave the agreement his best shot, but what happens, happens.

We are returning to our more traditional role of Europe’s backstop, rather than being the lead dog.

Thereby making the “guarantee” worthless.
