Recent comments by America’s Director of National Intelligence have reignited calls for the United States government to reveal what it knows about the UFO phenomenon.
Asked whether she had discovered anything relating to UFOs during a recent podcast with News Corp journalist Miranda Devine, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard provided a hint about her own views on the topic.
“Nothing that I'm prepared to talk about today… I'm just going to say this: yeah, we're continuing to look for the truth and share that truth with the American people,” she said.
Pressed on whether she thought aliens were responsible for the phenomenon, the senior US official said she had her “own views and opinions”, but was restricted in what she could say.
“In this role, I’ve got to be careful with what I share,” she said.
Speaking to Sky News Australia on Thursday, veteran investigative reporter Ross Coulthart told Sharri Markson there had been a “huge number” of US officials speaking out about the issue since the New York Times revealed in a 2017 cover story there was a secret UFO research program inside the Pentagon.
"Tulsi Gabbard is saying what a huge number of US officials have been saying for the past few years,” Coulthart told Sharri.
“There's a huge sea change happening in American executive government right now. They're suddenly waking up to the reality of UFOs.”
Coulthart said the senior officials who are “very interested in the phenomenon” included Vice President JD Vance.

Well said. If someone says, “Don’t go in the water, I saw an extraordinarily large great white shark,” you don’t need extraordinary proof—you just need a credible fact. And it isn't the other person's responsibility to prove it anyway.
Your second point is equally solid. I’d even add that when people are confronted with something that has the potential to cause ontological shock, they don’t just ignore it—they often reject it outright, and respond with anger, dishonesty, and ridicule.

Regarding extra-terrestrial life, it’d seem to me that if we believe in intelligent design that it’d be absurd to have an entire universe to “play” with, and only populate this rock. If one believes in evolution, then it’d seem that in the vastness of the universe, it’s quite likely that other life forms have developed.
The Youtube community will figure it all out before anyone else does.
There’s a video about 12 years old of a sphere drone. The Asian guys are flying it around the room. It’s weird looking but a sphere.
Another YouTuber has a micro-drone thing he demonstrates. If you didn’t know it wasn’t the size of your hand, you’d be pretty stunned when he flies it off, out of eyesight. It’s fast, but it looks like it went warp speed because of the lack of perspective.
A couple of amateur hacks have some videos of high altitude balloons and stuff with go pro cameras. Those are sort of cool to watch.

No. I have always believed in accordance with what I see and what I deduce. All you can hope for out of the government is confirmation. Or not.
