Guys, I've got great news ... football is (sort of) back.
And with the return of NFL ball we've already got the kick of the year. And all time, for that matter.
Yes, that was a SEVENTY yard field goal. He kicked it from his own 40 yard line through the uprights.
However...
Yes, preseason football is not real football. So the miraculous kick doesn't count, unfortunately.
Little is in his second year in the league after being drafted out of Arkansas in the 6th round (insanely high for a kicker) and being the youngest kicker ever selected in the draft.
He was perfect on extra points last year, and 27 of 29 on field goals.
Those are huge numbers. But the biggest number of them all is 70. And it doesn't even count in the record books.

Stephen Jones is worse...............
But at least he stopped Jerry from drafting Manziel.
They wouldn’t even bother giving him a shot at that kick in a game unless he’s been nailing them in practice.
FG range on your side of the field is movie like scenarios..
Anything further than 60 is still a wing and a prayer.
He has one very strong - and accurate! - leg.
Still boycotting
“They wouldn’t even bother giving him a shot at that kick in a game unless he’s been nailing them in practice.”
Agreed. I bet they green lighted it because it was also pre-season.
The bigger challenge is that it is pretty rare in the NFL to have a situation where it even makes sense at all to attempt such a long field goal. It generally only happens on the last play before halftime or before the end of regulation time, and in the latter case a coach has to consider if a 70-yard FG attempt gives better odds than a “Hail Mary” pass from your own 45-50 yard line.
Most likely.
