“their Tesla batteries must be removed”
This is crazy! The batteries must be intact to blow them up real good. For a real field testing simulation.
This is just gold plated money wasting. I want someone to show me a US Air Force missile that they were he might be defeated by a cyber truck. There’s a lot of good signs out there, and there’s a lot of money wasting for engineers to have fun.
Because future battlefields will have charging stations throughout...
This is silly. Elon can just remote shutdown the cybertruck.
A few sheets of plywood and a golf cart would be a well suited mock-up.
I wonder which one of the Tesla salesmen here has been contacted.
The Air Force wants to bomb $80,000 trucks? Oh well, so what else is new?
Every Tesla used in Testing must have a bumper sticker on the back that says “I bought this Cybertruck before I knew Elon Musk was crazy“!
That would certainly make the target practice so much more fun! In the future… This could even be used as a substitute for IFF on the battlefield… :-)
If they have any brains or sense of financial responsibility they can just use a couple that have been declared totaled after an accident but are still structurally sound and intact (just with a warped chassis and related damage for example).
Lol. I want to see those lithium batteries get hit by TOWs and Hellfires. Kablooowie!!! Toxic burning ions everywhere.
So make some cheap wooden targets. or even inflatable ones. Don’t need to piss away tax dollars on actual tesla bodies.
“Showing up on the battlefield”
Sitting motionless, out of juice and ready to target.
Oversized electric golf carts, just the thing to create lots of stationary targets.
Drones are one the battlefield NOW. Work on that.
