Again? Is this a new story?
Really? I just went to flightradar24.com and found several UAL flights.
Networked computers used to run our lives are great, aren’t they. Always dependable. Always do exactly what one would think they would do. Just ask dispatchers, voters, bankers, medical records keepers, etc..
Just think, one of those planes might have been carrying very valuable or life saving perishable items...too bad...sorry...the computer is down....sorry...
Sorry to hear, the wife got caught in of those some months ago, had to spend the night at a hotel, etc. Here’s this:
“United Airlines is having a system outage that’s prompted it to hold departures. The airline has requested ground stops for UA flights at DEN, EWR, IAH, ORD and SFO currently. United expects additional delays this evening,” one person wrote on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Stuck on the tarmac in New Orleans… no planes moving. No weight & balance data. Just vibes,” another one added.

At Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, a traveler claimed they had been waiting for over five hours. “No United planes are leaving the tarmac. This is crazy,” they wrote.
United Airlines addresses concerns
United Airlines acknowledged the system failure on social media and began responding to individual customer concerns.”
I hate flying so much now. It’s always been stressful but now there are many more genuine safety concerns.

The Google News search/aggregator has a bunch of articles on it, all within the past hour or so.
Methinks they probably just installed CoPilot ...
United Airlines has grounded flights nationwide on Wednesday night due to an issue with its weight and balance computer system, according to the airline.
From United ...
Due to a technology issue, we are holding United mainline flights at their departure airports. We expect additional flight delays this evening as we work through this issue. Safety is our top priority, and we’ll work with our customers to get them to their destinations.
Glad you have all of us Freepers to talk to - we're here 24/7... wishing you well.
What the neck is going on with the airlines? Are we being hacked? This is the third one, isn’t it?

I miss Continental.
