Networked computers used to run our lives are great, aren’t they. Always dependable. Always do exactly what one would think they would do. Just ask dispatchers, voters, bankers, medical records keepers, etc..

Just think, one of those planes might have been carrying very valuable or life saving perishable items...too bad...sorry...the computer is down....sorry...

Good post. You sound like a person who sees the dangers in relying on interlinked computers for the power grid, water supply, sewer system, phones and nearly everything else.

Me, too.

Example: Foreign countries such as China have tested remotely hacking and shutting down and rapidly turning back on a couple of US towns’ water systems. If done for real someday it would blow out a large machine that couldn’t be replaced for months and has to be transported across a highway to get there. Meanwhile, no water, or no sewer system treatment for weeks or months. With disastrous results.
