And a huge NO from me...
Just pay through the mail , though that’s not 100% secure either.
So when they get hacked the hackers get even more “authentic” data to use.
“Two-factor authentication (2FA), also known as two-step verification, is an enhanced security method that requires two distinct forms of identification to verify user identity. It adds an extra layer of protection beyond just a password, making it significantly harder for unauthorized users to access accounts or systems.”
Problem solved. Next!
Nope.
The more they push, the more I’m going back to cash.
Mastercard can kiss my wallet.
The present model is track everyone through their phones. They want the ability to ping your phone to know your physical location every time you use their app. That way, they can confirm that the purchase didn’t come from some hacker in another country. Your phone has become Big Brother’s tracking and spying device. Just say “no” to Google.
They’re trying to ensure the vig they’ve been getting on virtually every retail transaction.
Big Dave Ramsey people here in my house. We do NOT have credit cards. No debt. Mastercard can go eff themselves with walnuts.
Thanks for posting. I use only cash.
Everything’s hackable.
I think every purchase should require ID. That’s the only way to combat this. It works for voting.
Digital money will be the end of freedom.
I am so tired of these people.
Totalitarians hate cash.
Digital identity can work simply and deliver trust like payment cards.
Hackers drooling go ID fishing $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
From the article (since I had no idea what this was):
“Mastercard is also working on mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) to go in those digital wallets.”
They have been working on this and tried unsuccessfully to launch it during the Scamdemic. Too much pushback last time they tried this scheme of theirs, but they are baaaackkkkkkkk.
And as in most cases, Billy boy Gates is behind it. The same wicked man who now wants people to use tattoos instead of physical cell phones. Been reading the Book of Revelation much?

“...Mastercard has been increasingly focused on expanding its focus on fintech and biometrics, and has also been working with partners on supporting payments with gait or facial biometrics.”
Massa card. Hold still while we inject you and tattoo your scalp.
A SOLID “NO” FOLLOWED BY CUTTING UP THE CARD FROM ME.
I WILL MAIL THEM THE PIECES.
