EXCLUSIVE: Donald Trump is heavily weighing giving Sean “Diddy” Combs a full presidential pardon ahead of the convicted Bad Boy Records founder’s sentencing later this year.
Nearly two months after Trump publicly entertained the notion of a Diddy pardon in an Oval Office gaggle, a comprehensive get out of jail card for Combs is being “seriously considered,” an administration source tells Deadline....
Even before the mixed verdict came in, Trump exclaimed on May 30 that when it came to a Diddy pardon, he “would certainly look at the facts if I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me.”

You've brought up an important point: If the "72-hour rule" is to be applied on all Internet-based news items, shouldn't it apply even more to unnamed sources, "insiders", "people with knowledge of . . .", etc.?

Some hand rubber, or fat Susie wiles is telling him it will be good because the world’s most important natural resource and inspiration behind everything great about this country (black people) will poll .7 % higher if he pardons him. Meanwhile Conservative political prisoners still ROT in jail.
The story would be given no weight had President Trump not opened the door to it being a possibility.

Again, let’s review that facts. President Trump himself refused to close the door to pardoning Diddy when asked specifically about it on May 30.
Had he not equivocated, there’d be no credibility to the story.
